This restaurant offers well prepared local food in a cozy elegant ambiente. It deserves a visit, has a well balanced menu, not expensive, fast and friendly service. the food is slightly different than in other local restaurants around, slightly more modern and with a different flavor.

We've been coming here for 10 years! We remember when Rosie and Antonio had only 2 rooms and 3 wait staff... One was their son. ALWAYS the best service, food, and atmosphere. The place has been remodeled several times but the quality of everything is still outstanding.

We stayed one night in the Blue Dream Hotel, and apart from having the slowest lift (one lift), breakfast the next morning consisted of a bread roll, a croissant and a cup of tea. Won't be back

The fixed menu is only 11 euro per person for lunch. Very inexpensive. The pasta dishes were very good, the side dishes were great. I wasn't such a fan of the second dishes, but others in my party loved theirs. Wine, water, and coffee included. Loud, busy, and crazy, but it was clean and very nice. Being 4 women with kids, we were the only women in the place. It is mostly frequented by truck drivers. I will return.

We visited Este when the weekly market took place. After having seen what was planned we were hungry and looked for a place to eat and found Antico Sirone as the only one which was open and looked comfortable. We haven been the only guests at that day, decided to take the seat outdoor. We have been served quick, only cold dishes availabel, but in perfect Quality, Service very friendly, visiting Este another time we shall come again. Only a pity that no hot dishes are served.

Stylish and elegant, the restaurant is located at the center of a large garden with colorful flower beds, olive trees, green lawns and a terrace with incomparable views. You can have dinner outside under cool pergolas or inside in the cozy and bright room
There are many more of the little out of the way places in Italy than one would ever find in the USA, especially with such fine dining but after a number of single lane roads getting there just from the Radisson Blu Galzignano Terme, we arrived just as they opened on the day before the start of the Easter holiday weekend. We knew we were early but we had an early flight scheduled out the next day, so we arrived at 7pm and ordered the degustation menu of four courses. But they served what I thought was an amuse bouche first of parmesan, a piece of ham quiche, and green olives; but then that was also followed by some white prosciutto (basically fat) on a small piece of toast. I believe then, the actual 4 course menu started with some salami and regular prosciutto as the appetizer/antipasti, but then there was another dish of purple potatoes with asparagus which was so tasty but we were starting to fill up when we realized that the next dish was the pasta dish/primi platti of ribbon thin tagliatelle of nettles in green with a white meat sauce. Even though we swore to not eat it all to try and save room for the rest, we gobbled this down entirely. The main dish was duck served with a recipe that was over 500 years old but we could only eat half of what was on our plates in order to save a little room for dessert, which was a hazelnut/almond tart with hazelnut ice cream. My goodness, it was all so good and the helpings weren't necessarily American sized portions but there was just too much and all for 50⬠per person. Wow. I had to use my limited Italian and French as the wait staff might have one person fluent in English but that was fine as it added to the entire environment. How better to get out of your comfort zone than to use some guesswork to figure out your next dish? We'll have to go again!

A lunch with family and friends was an experience we will remember well after we return to Australia. Our table on the terrace had accidentally been given to another group. In no time at all, the staff had set up a table outside, complete with high chair for our baby and created what could only be described as a fantastic dining experience. The waiter's wine knowledge was exceptional, his knowledge of the menu and ability to explain it in both Italian and English was even better. All 8 of us loved our food, the pork neck fillet (I'm pretty sure that's what it was) was amazing. I wish I knew what the marinade was so I could try to replicate it at home. Well worth a visit here. In behalf of all the people of the staff, I want to thank you for this amazing review! You words warm our heart and make us proud of our work.We hope to see you soon in our restaurant!

Le Strie is in the guidebooks for a reason. This nippy, classy restaurant produces simple but delectable dishes halfway between comfort food and 'fine dining'. We are vegetarians, and ate well, from the exquisitely flavoured tomato sauce served with maccherone to the pasta e fagioli to excellent contorni and imaginative desserts. The wine list is very good too. Meat-eaters would be in seventh heaven - this is prosciutto country. When in Este, Le Strie is essentially where you'd eat.
