I have visited this place about 4 or 5 times now and make an overall impression about it.Pros:Good food, especially I would recommend rabbit in cream sauceThey have dance parties inside over the weekendCons:Service is ridiculous! You either wait for your meal for about 2 hours or they would bring you first the dessert and then the main which proofs they have no idea about all the service rules!I think it's a good place if you just go out for a drink, having a meal here might spoil your day..

It is a nice place to try it. They have an interesting cuisine there, very good range of fish (at least for appetizer), an interesting and quite large o wine selection. Staff is nice and the place is comfortable. Note there are two different areas, at ground floor, is less "premium", so if you are about to visit the place consider it is more quiet and elegant at the first floor.

The space is dead sexy and very upscale in ambiance, design, service and menu selection. Grilled menu items, which seem to be the most popular, are prepared in the big egg grill on the outside terrace, even in the colder months. Much attention and thought has been put into the restaurant except for minor things like the menu is almost entirely in Russian; there is no Romanian option which demonstrates a customer care failure. The service, as mentioned, is top notch, by any standards, especially in Moldova.We have been to Loft at least four times and, I am embarrassed to say, order the same thing, the Jack Daniels Burger. As it is difficult to get a true American burger in Moldova and, we go there specifically when in burger mode. We did a comparison the last time between the JD Burger and the Angus burger and must say the Angus is not worth the extra lei. LOVED the grilled salmon, which was perfection, and their hummus is scratch-made delicious. A caveat: the food quality, from our first visit in September 2015 to our last visit in November 2015, has deteriorated somewhat. I will be making burgers, with ground beef from the sensational Rogob, at home from now on, but we will return to try other menu items, once we get the menu translated into Romanian (or English). Reservations are recommended if you wish to sit at a proper table (there are comfy overstuffed sofas and chairs with coffee tables, at which you can dine, in the bar area). The space is intimate. They also offer water pipes. Very popular.A visit here will not disappoint.

Everyone we asked about Amurg said the ame thing to us. "Go". So we did. That's an hour and a couple of hudred lei we'll never get back. There was a raging wedding celebration in full party mode and everyone in the event space was having, what looked to be, a fabulous time.We were seated in a private dining room, this is how you dine at Amurg if you are not an invitee to a special occasion. Nice. But, a little claustrophobic. We were given menus upon being seated and then left to our own devices. Given a chance to order a bottle of wine or a cocktail would have done wonders for the indifferent service. Server appears! Order given. Ten minutes later, server reappears. No, and no. New choices provided. Nope. No. Can. Do. We could have anything we wanted as long as it was the battered pork. Disappointed. But, our guess is, this was what the wedding guests had been served and th kitchen didn't want to be bothered with what their individual guests preferred for dinner.The food, and service, were underwhelming. Everyone, who had recommended Amur, seemed surprised. Until one said, oh, we ordered in advance. Who does that? Patrons of Amurg, we guess.We will not be returning. There are too many good, reliable restaurants in Balti where we are served what we order. Too bad.

Great atmosphere, food, location. I can not say the same about the service that we received from the waiter Elvira. She was not in the right mood, don't know what the local Romanian language. On every answer she was answering in Russian, with bad attitude.The dessert was very original, like a broken pottery with flower. 5 stars for the dessert.

As with most chain stores, yuo go to La Placinta (or Andy's or Ciao Cacao, their other offerings) because you know you what to expect. The restaurants are clean, well-staffed, friendly, courteous, fast(ish), affordable, casual dining spots. We have never been disappointed because our expectations are alwqays met.
