The ambience is lovely with wood panelling and lots of items to discover. Seating is comfortable enough. The food is somewhere between good local stuff and pretentious. The soup was nearly too salty, to small a portion, but the main courses were decent. Nothing excels. The duck was quite dry, potatoes came with too many onions. Many wines are offered by the glass and these are fine.

We visited Biberkeller over the weekend for a family dinner. It was a very pleasant experience which I highly recommend to anyone visiting Biberach. The food is decent and their cocktails are real good. The menu is nice and something special - you get it in the shape of a newspaper but on better paper. The selection is interesting and I selected soup with pancakes (quite good), Maultaschen gratiniert (very interesting and delicious combination but the cheese grating was a disappointment, a clear misfit), and triplet of chocolate which was nice but nothing special. Service was reasonably fast but not exactly friendly... probably I should have told the chef myself that the cheese on the Maultaschen was completely off!Prices are, considering where you are, OK to a bit expensive

The name translates as âFat Hildeâ. The overweight woman named Hilde can be seen in their logo.The restaurant has a very unique interior as well as an interestingly decorated beer garden. The have a program with different activities throughout the year. Wir waren hier zum Essen und die sehr guten Bewertungen kann ich nicht ganz verstehen. Die Einrichtung ist etwas bieder, der Service sehr gut, aber unter einer ungarischen Küche hätte ich mehr Würze erwartet. Die Portionen waren zwar sehr groÃ, die Pommes sind aber in SoÃe abgesoffen (die uns zu fade war) und ein Schnitzel legt man normalerweise auch nicht auf die Pommes drauf. Vom Preis her ok, aber in Summe haben wir schon deutlich besser gegessen
Wir haben uns gefragt, wie man in diesem Gasthaus die vollkommen überteuerten Preise rechtfertigt.Beispiele:Ein Stück Käsekuchen 4 â¬Balkanplatte für eine Person 18,90â¬Ein Viertel Wein 6⬠Vielleicht bezahlt man ja die Auszeichnung "Weltkulturerbe Federsee" mit.Es muss aber auch gesagt werden, das die von uns bestellten Gerichte lecker waren.
