This greek restaurant some 12 km outside Brussels is located in the rural village of Asse on the road to Aalst. The building is a huge house, restyled in the greek way. As entering it, it is like going in a greek temple. Inside everything reminds of Greece, but the restaurant is very clean and the staff very friendly. The menu has all the greek specials you can imagine. As starters: mezze, tarama, tzazitki, shrimps, dolmades, ... Main courses: moussaka, giouvetsi, lamb (many differend ways) grilled meat and fish and as desert magnificent greek pastries (baklava,...). The wine list is very long and has also the typical greek wines in it (i.e. Retsina,...) The quality of the food is very good and very important: the ingredients are very fresh. This is a adress to spend a nice evening with nice food.

I was there with my girlfriend for a romantic evening. But I regret my choice. First we were 1 couples in the restaurant and had to wait that the waiter finish his discussion with the barmaid (30 min.) . After this they serve us 2 pasteries that i can describe like wax with old fish taste. I took salmon, but they don't mention that it was a millesime of 2 years old. Because it had the taste of bad quality fish. So from the beginning till the end, it was a total nightmare. BUT a nightmare at almost 100 euros.

Lekker eten, ontspannen vergaderen of ui
I've eaten in the restaurant and went to parties and receptions here. The prices are fair, the cuisine is great! We've also used this location for organising a party for 130 friends and family members at Hof ten Eenhoorn. The location is wonderful, with a beautiful garden and a very nice dining hall. They succeed in serving delicious food and great wines at very reasonable prices and without the feeling of "mass kitchen". Communication is always swift and correct. I would recommend this for any occasion!!

We went here for a special occasion and we had a really special time. We took the Lobster menu with unlimeted wone refills, and even though I prefer steamed Lobster, the grilled lobster was delicious. The Angus Steak that you also have an option to choose from as a main or to stay with Lobster was done to almost perfection. Good service, friendly noce warming atmosphere. Overall good time

Just been to the "Plezanten Hof" in Kobbegem, Asse, Belgium. In a forgotten place, not so far away from Brussels. The food was great, the service perfect, the set up and comfort of the restaurant very cosy and nice. The formula with a fixed menu is a great idea. Makes things easier for the kitchen and this has certainly a positive effect on the price that is certainly acceptable for the quality of food provided. For the starters a choice between 2 dishes, but this evening 2 additional dishes were presented, for the main course again a choice between 2 dishes. We took the "wine included" formula. Not the biggest wines but acceptable quality for the addtional price and served in sufficient quantity. For sure, a place to return and next time I will invite friends for a dinner, the "plezanten hof" will be on my list.

They serve great foor and have a very friendly staff. We were planning on returning a few days ago but unfortunately they are closed on Sundays. Not an issue though as we live in the area and can enjoy the restaurant any other day of the week.Try the mezze, you won't be sorry...

Food for the body is not enough, there must be food for the soul. Who doesn't like a good slice of beef (by Dierendonck, our superbutcher) between a freshly baked bun, topped with all kind of great stuff!
If you are in Asse you must certainly go and eat here. Friendly waiters and amazing good tasting burgers. I am coming back!

Food was really quite good, nicely presented and all hot. The only minus point is the pretty grim service, ever heard of service with a smile? Ever thought of responding ot a thank you? If you don't like serving in a restaurant; find another job......

We had the 3 courses lunch menu (€39,50) which left us the choice between 3 starters, 3 main courses and 3 desserts. The salmon and squid carpaccio was really delicious (very well seasoned, all tastes in balance). The scampi fritti were a bit less surprising, but very ok. Our main courses where the escalopa with eggplant and parmezan cheese with pasta and the home-made ravioli, which we both experienced as a success. We both had the home-made tiramisu as a dessert. Simple but good red house wine. It's not really cheap, but certainly worth it for what you get.

Friendly casual service, very tasty food, and a nice building with wraparound balcony. Food is perhaps a little overpriced for the portions, if you're looking for extreme value for money, but the portions are, thankfully, not over the top, leaving you room for drinks and dessert! Would recommend, and we will return.
