We are a family run independent restaurant and Bar serving Turkish, Mediterranean cuisine We have just completely refurbished this restaurant which dates back 300 years and has a beautiful barn style roof. We have a set LUNCH MENU currently £12.50 for 2 c
This was the second time visiting this restaurant, it was a Friday night so busy and noisy, to be expected, had to ask three times for a bottle of Prosecco before it finally arrived and had to ask twice for more pitta bread. Food was ok but had to wait over an hour with the Manager explaining how the food was cooked fresh etc, which was what I would have expected. A friend's card was declined and the waitress actually 'smirked', it went through a second time no problem, but there was no apology that it had happened. A small tip was left and probably won't go back again.

We have visited this restaurant many times and used to find it excellent.Unfortunately on the last three visits it has not lived up to expectation. On one occasion the fish was not fresh, On the second visit two identical meals turned up completely different - one good and one not good. On the same occasion one (hot) starter was cold. On the third visit the food quality was mediocre.. Standards have clearly slipped. The waiting staff are polite and the ambience is beautiful. We often visit the same chain in nearby Basingstoke and the standards there are good and more consistant.

Dining at the Gallery Restaurant gives you the chance to enjoy delicious, professionally prepared food at a fraction of the price youâd pay at a high street restaurant. Our Hospitality and Catering Department aims to serve cuisine of the highest quality,
What can I say? We went to lunch with low expectations as it is a training restaurant, and were not disappointed. One of the main complaints was the waiter (Connor) had zero skills. My 7-year-old son could wait table better. He had no confidence, was clumsy and showed no training whatsoever. Worst of all, despite twice saying we wanted a vegetarian option, a chicken pie arrived. We told him, but he did not apologise for his mistake. Although a supervisor and a manager offered to change the dish, we did not bother. His uncertainty made us cringe every time he came near the table. His verbal skills were limited - "Bread?" was the one-word suggestion that we might like some. "Finished?" his question when he cleared the plates. He slopped the drinking water, left cutlery awry and generally should not have been released into the public domain. The meal itself was ok (only ok). Dubious value for money. The (chicken) pie was scarcely that. We do not call a pile of chicken chunks with a white sauce and a flake finger of pastry on the top a pie. A "selection of desserts" was a wholemeal meringue! All in all, not a great experience. Even at £9 per head (sounds reasonable for a normal restaurant?) we felt this was overpriced for a training establishment. We shall not return.Dear Guy123456789,Thank you for taking the time to write us a review following your visit to The Gallery Restaurant, although it is disappointing to hear your overall negative experience. Please rest assured that the issues that have raised have been shared with our management team. I would kindly ask you to contact me directly at [email protected] , should you like to discuss the issue any further. Kind Regards Corey

Went here recently for a friends engagement party. The food, drink and hosts were amazing! The layout is very nice traditional/modern. Iâd definitely like to come back here again to see what itâs like during normal restaurant time.

We've had the opportunity to dine here twice with family while visiting the area with the recent one during the May bank holiday weekend. On both occasions we were all served with excellent plates of food from the great range of food on their menu and all of generous portion size. The staff are friendly and are helpful when querying anything on their food or drinks menu.Well worth a visit for lunch or dinner.

This unassuming restaurant is tucked into an alley between the Sainsburys and the Slug and Lettuce. As soon as you step in, you realize thereâs a lot more than youâd expect from the outside and the location. The decor is well considered, the staff are very friendly, the food options are creative and delicious. We found a lovely bottle of red to share and had a variety of pasta dishes around the table. The garlic bread pizza starter was full of flavor, although Iâm not sure the cheese selection on the antipasto was quite what our table was looking for. Desserts were enjoyed by those who had them and we finished with a shot of apple liqueur. We will definitely be coming back here!
