We attended the buffet style lunch and we were pleasantly surprised. The food is absolute authentic Portuguese cuisine and fresh cooked goodness. The Bacalhau ( codfish ) was outstanding, tasty soft, fresh and delicious. There really is something for everyone from a great soup right through to dessert. Thank you indeed. Wine also good as are most wines in Portugal.

We visited the restaurant yesterday. Hospitality and service are exceptional. We asked to eat grilled fish and vegetable salad like in Israel: tomatoes, lettuce, onions and olive oil. We started with cornmeal bread with original black olives. The fish Dennis and Burke were excellent with the Israeli salad and a fries. For dessert we received a special cake from an unknown fruit in Israel - fantastic and majestic tea. The price is equal. highly recommend.

The place is nice although the entrance is a bit misleading for a restaurant. The internal setup is interesting with barrels of wine on one wall and nice wooden tables. The food is not really special but decent, prices are a bit high by local standards but cheap in European terms.

Located completely away from tourist tracks, this place is frequented mostly by local patrons. And although there is a number of traditionnal portuguese meals on the menu, the crowd´s favourite seems to be the picanha. Served in a manner similar to the rodizio in Brazil from a spit (and repeatedly taken back to the kitchen to be re-seared), it comes with a number of sides (salad, rice, fried plantains, black beans, farofa) and with grilled pineapple as a dessert. So don´t feast too much on starters, no matter how good those may be. Wines are also very nice and reasonably priced. Only downside: you need a car to get there.

Casa dos Leitões is an excellent restaurant. The concept is very simple: they only serve leitão. Very good leitão, by the way. The owner and the staff are very nice. They even bothered sticking with me on the phone so that I could get to the restaurant without any hassle - yes, the address that reads Albergaria I'd not correct; you should actually look for Angeja. A must if you ever go near Aveiro.

Been for lunch on a sat and evening food - was awesome and huge variety. All fresh and so much cooked in front of you as well on the grill. Very neat and clean and just awesome, I would say one of the best buffet style Chinese I have ever been to!
