It was a real pleasure to take dinner at "Il Galeotto". I've really enjoyed the first dish (Primi - "Cappellaccio di zucca con ricotta affumicata, zaferrano e noci") and the easy and flavorful wine inspired by the variety of the Wine Card of the restaurante. The calm and friendly ambience was established from the very first moments.My good impression of the quality of the food was confirmed and improved by the second dishes (Secondi - "Filleto di cervo con grana e marmellata di ribes", "Gamberoni al sale" and "Bigoli alla chitarra con gamberoni imperiali, basilico e pomodorini mixati"). AlI these tastefull meals was strengthened by the speciality of the house - the unforgetable "Patate del Galeotto". Each plate is a real masterclass of the sous chef Luca. The master chef is always pleased to greet you and, of course, to make sure that you have a great time there. In these circumstances the good mood is guaranteed :) One more advice regarding the desert - you cannot miss the Pannacotta, it is absolutelly delicious!!! The elegance of the restaurant with its high-leveled service combined with the professionalism, rafinement and modesty of the sous chef makes you feel always welcome there. That's why, during my vacation (10 days in Northern Italy), I returned thrice to this beautiful place ;)

We tried to get in at 7:30 on a Friday...no way...came back at 9.What a wonderful experience...so busy...such great food...all local cuisine. A litter of wine and thei famous pasta...I can't remember the name but large tortellini's.Fantastic salads and bread.I sat facing the young man whose job it was to make the meat and cheese plates that everyone eats in this pat of Italy. He made plates non-stop fo almost 2 hours. He took one break. The waitstaff ran for the whole 2 hours.Make a reso. I will write about the other restaurant we ate at...more famous good food but not nearly as much fun. PS, very near the Castle. About $50 for 2 with wine ( house liter) water and a 5 Euro tip I gave the waitress because she worked so hard.PPS, the next night (Sat.) the same guy was making meat and cheese plates fo probably 4 hours non-stop.

We went there for a dinner and the food and friendly atmosphere overpassed all the expectations. It was a monday in august, which means that in Italy nothing is going to work. The place was absolutely full and with a little amount of personell, but were patient and waited for our dishes quite a long time, but we had been inforned beforehand. The staff speaks in Russian, very nice people Giovanni and Tatiana) The internal garden is also very pritty even though it does not looks so from the beginning. We have ordered ''capellacci con zucca di cheff'' that were absolutely amazing and a grigliatta di filetto was so soft and tender. Do not afraid to order their homewine instead of a bottle, it is very good and if high quality

I hope that the owners of Quel Fantastic Giovedi do not change anything about their restaurant (except seasonal menus selections of course). We enjoyed ALL that we experienced including a) our charming, knowledgeable as well as personable young male waiter, b) fresh, well prepared and presented traditional local foods, c) intoxicating local wines and d) value. And many thanks to the complimentary sweets and limoncello offered by the owner. Would I dine here again? Absolutely Yes. Would I recommend it to others? Absolutely Yes.

Crowded restaurant with great prices. The food is homemade, we tried the cappelli di zucca they were very tasty and the pasticcio of pasta that was also really good. A little away from the centre we found this place, its actually quite big once you go in. Piadinas were excellent as was the fried vegetables and chips. Recommended. Piadina 6-6.50 euro.

We were given recommendation for this restaurant and were not disappointed! A very friendly patron.... who explained the food and wine... a delicious starter with uncscious egg cheese and spinach ... followed by a steaming plate of.....5 scallops perfectly cooked gratinee....all very splendid with an EmiliaâRomagna wine..Federico..scrumptious.thank you to the man in the cafe down the road for the suggestion! A great lunch!

This was the evening you savor in Italy. The food was exceptional: pumpkin-filled cappalacchi with ragu and a tagliatelle with seasonal asparagus sauce, âroast beefâ with salad and lamb cutlets for secondi, and a house red showed the talent of the kitchen. Our server, the ownerâs engaging son, had taught himself English by watching Harry Potter films, and the owner got out his guitar and led a singalong that engaged all the Italian speakers. The restaurant was full and turned people away. There was a large family group and two tables of work colleagues, as well as couples and one solo diner. Service was attentive and warm. Thank you boybanker for your words. We hope to see you again to spend another day in our Company. Best regards the staff.

We stopped in Ferrara for lunch on our way to San Gemignano. My wife found this place in a travel guide in the old quarters of Ferrara. We had some troubles finding it, but we were rewarded by the most delicious and fresh mozzarella with cured ham, and wonderful cappellacci di zucca, the typical pasta of the area. The restaurant has changed ownership recently and looks renovated and modern. The staff of the restaurant was very nice and interested in us as travelers from far away. If you are around Ferrara, you should try it.
