At the arrival we were received with a warm welcome and showed to our table by a waitress, another served us an aperitivo and another took first ordersâ¦..and this was the first flawâ¦..being served by too many people enabled us to be followed correctly. In fact when we needed an information about one of the dishes, one of us had to get up and search a person from the staff cause we didnât have a handler. For appetizer we had 12-24-36 months cured culatello with focaccia bread, it was very good but while we were finishing the ham slices the waiter (one of them) took away the serving plate with the rest of focaccia bread which was supposed to accompany the dish we were still finishing. For first course we had ravioli with burrata cheese and white rabbit ragù sauce and risotto with salami and porcini mushrooms, I am attaching the picture of the menu as you can see it seems a âwhiteâ risottoâ¦â¦what arrived was a risotto full of tomato that covered completely any other taste while the porcini mushrooms were tiny and hard to findâ¦â¦â¦the ravioli were good and the sauce also but they were a part, no harmony in the dish and it was very dry.For dessert we read in the menu about a typical âDuchessa cakeâ, we asked the waitress serving us to explain what is wasâ¦â¦she used some specific patisserie term and when I asked to explain better she had a very smarty attitude. When she told us there was zabaione, my partner said âno, thank you, I canât eat zabaioneââ¦.so we decided to take a dessert called âChocolate pyramid with Chantilly creamâ Well the sweet had some yellow drops on it and asking the waiter (who obviously wasnât the one who took the order) we were told it was zabaione!!!!â¦â¦â¦â¦.what in the menu was called Chantilly cream was the yellow cream you see in the photoâ¦..and when I tried to contest the waiter insisted in an arrogant way that that was how Chantilly cream was supposed to beâ¦.â¦..I suggest to check out on Google the recipeâ¦..I guess the review speeks for itselfâ¦â¦â¦.place not recommendedDear Madam,We regret you were not fully satisfied with our Restaurant. With reference to your comments, we would like to explain to you as follows.Service is so important as cuisine, that's why each waiter has his/her role: one welcomes the guests and takes them to the table, another one offers them something to drink and serves them during the meal. This way of service characterises a Restaurant service quality. When appetizer is over, our waiters are used to removing the dishes in order to proceed with the other courses. Focaccia was removed because Culatello is served with this kind of bread, so once Culatello is consumed, waiter has to remove the empty dishes. However, on each table there is a basket full of differenti bread varieties.Risotto with salami and mushrooms is guarnished with red sauce: this is a traditional recipe of our Restaurant. On the menù we do not write Risotto is "white"... As regards Ravioli, sauce is placed directly on the dish in order to allow our Guest to enjoy the recipe nuances.Zabaione is not present in the Chocolate pyramid with Chantilly cream. However, some drops of zabaione are present on the dish as guarnishing but they do not come in touch with the dessert. This guarnishing is tought to the chefs during their training; we apologise ourselves if you were not informed about it. We hope you will come back in order to enjoy another meal.

The tigelle/crescentine makes me wild! The prosciuto and salumi compliments the taste creating a synergy of flavours and textures. The tortelli of radish and tropea onion, with their creamy and perfect consistecy sauce plus the balsamic vinegar is an X factor. Superb dinner, Highly recommended. Cuisine extraordinaire!

Please note that review is about 4-5 years ago, so maybe things have improved. The food was really good but service was so slow that I had to quit going there. Price were a bit above average in this area.

Very original and tasteful decor. Platter we had was abundant, beautifully presented and delicious. The lovely staff made our experience even better.
Affettati superbi e parmigiano molto molto buono. Primi divini e un secondo di ottimo. Pulizia ineccepibile e prezzi giusti. Ci ritorneremo sicuramente. Molto consigliato.

The five of us had a pizza dinner on a Saturday night, in August 2017, and it was great. Excellent quality, quick service, informal but efficient service and a good atmosphere. Even the kitchen staff showed up to have a talk.

We came to Brescello to visit the don Camilo museum. As it wasn't open yet (lunchtime) we decided to find somewhere to eat lunch. We ended up in this place. We shared an antipasto platter and had the green tortellini and the tagliatelle with ragù. All very delicious. Service was swift and very friendly.

Servizio eccellente. Buon rapporto qualità prezzo.

After visiting the whole town which was the film location of most Don Camillo movies, we decided to have lunch here, almost the only restaurant we found open because the others were mainly sandwich bars and cafeterias. The place is evoked to Don Camillo (the hotheaded priest character created by Guareschi, an Italian journalist) all walls were almost tapestried of photos of the actors during the filming days plus posters, some authographed and some other not Don Camillo related bric-a-brac.We had a plate of sliced cured meats with savory snacks which was OK; homemade pumpkin raviolis were OK too; a homemade cooked guineafowl which was very dry, a little bit of sauce would make it palatable⦠Service very friendly and welcoming.A very good place as trattoria ambiance and service if not having top gastronomical demandings.
