This restaurant - despite the posh design - was a big disappointment for me. Given the prices and the elegant outlook, I thought I would have a delicious duck here (the name is the literal translation for "golden duck"), but it was one the worst ducks I've ever had. I ordered a confit duck breast with mashed potatoes. The duck was in one huge piece, was chewy and tasteless. The mashed potatoes were dry and didn't look fresh either. Service was OK but I would recommend to avoid this place, there are much better (and cheaper) restaurants around Pécs.

Friendly staff, large servings, tasty food, love to come back and try some more of the options on the menu, we were after authentic Hungarian food and that's what we got!

Discovered this place years ago and it was a hit. Came back for diner tonight and was sorely disappointed. The comfortable terasse was nicely decorated with lovely flowers and the place wasn't busy at all. (On a Saturday, dinnertime). Still, we've waited an hour to have our meals.I had the duck in strawberry sauce with potatoes beignets. The addition of this strawberry sauce was surely designed to add moisture to an otherwise tasteless, overcooked duck and smothered it with its overwhelming sweetness that would have failed to elevate the flavour of any well cooked duck meat anyways. The potatoes beignets were fresh and delicious.I concluded this sad story of a meal by dipping the beignets in the strawberry sauce as a desert..My companions seemed to enjoy their meals enough. I guess if you have time on your hand and are hungry for fair portions, take a chance. But perhaps, rethink the duck.

Bloff Bisztro is a mediterranean-style bistro near the Szechhenyi square in the city center of Pecs. You can eat various fish and other grill foods with us. We have large assortment os wine and Staropramen draft beer.
Ordered pork sandwich, it was very "oiled" with way to much ketchup, and without any vegetables.Better half ordered cesar salad, now and there she find some chicken, sauce was neutral, and it was mixed with green salad.

Balkan dishes prepared charcoal grill, using carefully selected local ingredients, coffees, large selection of wines.
We liked this place so much we went back the next day. Very original food inspired by the whole Balkans region, from Turkey to Hungary. Reasonable prices, nice staff, good wine selection, fun relaxed setting. Nothing not to like.
