Things to do in Nis
El Barco is very nice place with awesome kitchen and good wines. Here you can try some very good fish specialty and meat specialty like pork and kitchen filets. In the warm and kind ambient you can enjoy with your friends drinking your favorite wines and
After the excess meat eating in Serbia, I wad glad to visit this restaurant and order fish. The zander with potatoes and onion was delicious. This was not a fillet but a whole fish. The white wine was rich, so I changed to rose wine which perfectly accompanied the fish. A treat.
Predivno veÄe dobrih prijatelja iz Bugarske uz akustiÄnu muziku orkestra Duga noÄ i naravno uz specijalitet kuÄe "BanjaluÄki file",specijaliteta kojeg samo vrhunski kuvar restorana sprema na poseban naÄin.

A pretty restaurant with historic photos on the wall and a nice atmosphere. Really friendly service. Some reviews complain about smoke, but in our experience smoking in restaurants is the norm in Serbia. We usually look for an end table, or near an open window. The food here was really good--way too much for the two of us. We had melted cheese and peppers for the appetizer (like a gooey fondue with the delicious bread), boneless ribs with "cheese" really more like sour cream, and grilled vegetables. Sadly they were out of the slow cooked lamb. All this and beer and water for less than $20.

All the traditional dishes, good quality and service at good price. The restaurant is located in the heart of Nis, is spacious and has a nice semi-opened summer terrace.Suitable as well for larger groups. One of the places in Nis where non-smokers can eat during the winter, the place has a proper ventilation. If you want to go Friday or Saturday night, when live traditional music is playing, you will need a reservation with one week in advance.Had very good moments there many times, will love to come back.

Arrived at Sunday evening for a small dinner. It was quite empty, but very nice decorated in a tradinional style. It was my last day in Serbia, so Kaymak was a must. I really liked it, even better than in other place (three ice-cream-like bowls). Bread was OK, but nothing special. In Serbia you get very good self-made breads, but this was not the case. Staff was little bit bored due to lack of work, standing behind the desk and playing with self-phones. The food was really nice, I tried few starters like hot pepers in garlic sauce. There was no smoke (probably because of lack of guests), fortunatelly...Overall impression was nice, due to delicious food and nice decorations.

Welcome to the new-old symbol of NiÅ¡, the exclusive ambience of the restaurant Stambolijski. Experience the fusion of tastes and aromas of New Balkan cuisine, signed by the virtuosic chief Sasa MiÅ¡iÄ. Our dishes represent Balkan soul and authentic slow fo

We always liked this restaurant and have had good experiences there in the past but our last visit, which will literally be our last visit, was a disaster. We were greeted promptly entering the front door and offered a choice of two tables. Everything went downhill from there. Choosing a table by the door we sat down and looked at the menu that was already on the table. We sat patiently and watched four more tables enter and all of them were waited on before our waiter finally came.We ordered, and the drinks and soup came very quickly. However, the spoon that came with my soup was filthy. Not a little bit off but dried food caked to the spoon. The soup was good and the main course also came quickly. We ordered the Galija Special. A dish for two served in a bread bowl. Meat in a white sauce, usually very tasty. After I dished out a portion for myself I noticed a hair in the food. I pulled out a long black hair, easily eight inches long and sat in on the table. As I looked at my plate I saw another! Again I pulled the long black hair from the food.Disgusting to say the least. To their credit, they looked at the hair on the table and apologized and said there would be no bill. We left, for the last time. We have crossed Galija off of our list.

Temporary closed for renovation. New part of the restaurant (Kralja Stefana Prvovencanog 22) opens on August 3, 2019 and old part (Prvomajska 49) opens on August 17, 2019. Traditional Serbian restaurant with the best selection of delicious food and drinks
We had a family lunch there on Saturday 20th 2019. The staff was so friendly and helping, the food was excellent and the prices quite reasonable! I would recommend it to families because the tables aren't closely set so you can have privacy and relax. Ask the waiters for their recommendation, they do know best! Cannot wait to go back again!Thank you for the compliments dear Bojana. We are looking forward to seeing you soon in our restaurant.
