Find out what Eastern European restaurants to try in Kutaisi. Kutaisi (Georgian: ქუთაისი [kʰutʰɑisi]; ancient names: Aea/Aia, Kotais, Kutatisi, Kutaïsi) is the legislative capital of Georgia, and its 3rd most populous city. Situated 221 kilometres (137 miles) west of Tbilisi, on the Rioni River, it is the capital of the western region of Imereti. Historically one of the major cities of Georgia, it served as the capital of the Kingdom of Georgia in the Middle Ages, and later as the capital of the Kingdom of Imereti. The Parliament of Georgia moved to Kutaisi in 2012, in an effort to both acknowledge the status of the city, and to decentralise the Georgian government.

We ate here while watching de cup final. Everything they served was really tasty and it's normal/cheap priced, but we had to ask almost everything twice after patiently waiting for half an hour. My meal didn't even arrive at all and after asking three times, I finally got it. (Oh and when there's no football, there is super loud music)

The customer service is the worst, I asked for the simple typical Georgian dish and it took more than 1 hour, after the first 30 minutes I asked to the waitress and she said me that it will come soon, later on she accepted that she didn't take my order and I couldn't cancel it. Finally, the people that come with me left me and I ate alone

Bar Restaurant "Sister" is located in the centre of Kutaisi, on Rustaveli avenue N4, it is distinguished with different interior design, where three sisters will host and offer with accompanied the music the Georgian and European cuisine created by them.
lovely place! amazing interior, you just want to spend all day long in those walls. great service, good wine and tasty meals. a MUST GO on Kutaisi map, definitively. I have to say this place does not even match this city, it is 1000000% better than all the places around, highly recommended! and live music <3

Wondering around the centre I came across this cozy looking restaurant. The friendly waiter invited me in, I looked at the limited menu and decided to give it a go. About 6 tables, all empty, and no one else came in for the next hour I was there. The waiter was very professional and helpful. Limited main courses for lunch so I ordered the stew (12 lara) and pot of mushrooms (8) bread (2.50) beer (3). Food arrived piping hot in about 15min and the mushrooms went well with the stew. Big mistake in ordering the stew because obviously it was not freshly made. I had not eating anything all morning except cup of coffee and toast. Returning back to hotel I felt upset stomach, laid on the bed fell asleep and woke up to be sick and in pain. Was there something bad in the stew, certainly not the mushrooms. Next time order something that has to be prepared that day.Restaurant was very cozy and maybe at night time is packed. Total cost 25.50 lara, good value for money. I should have stuck to my policy of eating at places that has lots of locals.Hello! We sorry about you for such awkward situation. We can guarantee that the dish was fresh made on the day as usually any other dishes, but in Georgian dishes and in particular Megrelian stew is made with many walnuts and Georgian spices. Sometimes a similar combination is hard to work for some organism.

You'll enjoy the excellent Georgian-European kitchen, very big choice of drinks and especially wines, really comfortable situation and live music. seats are placed in a main hall, in terrace and in the garden.
I loved this restaurant. There's a large garden out the front, but on the day we visited it was raining so we sat in a conservatory at the front. It was so good that we visited twice. The food is beautiful and the portions are huge. I'm not known to leave food behind but couldn't finish my chicken and bacon Caesar salad. Earlier in the day I also had Ojakhuri with chicken. Beautiful. The beer was cold and delicious, the local stuff less than half the price of Krombacher and just as good. On the Saturday we were there, there was live music. The piano player was a maestro. It's very rare to see and hear such a player. I would pay good money to go and see this guy. Finally, the location is great and the staff were all very friendly and helpful.

We visited the adjoining German Beer establishment twice with out noticing this smaller place The first impression was positive, the furniture and the deco is simply matter of taste. It was early afternoon and the weather was warm (second half of October). The service team was very quick and attentive as my host spoke Georgian and ordered all food (mostly Georgian dishes). The choice of wine didn't seem to be huge .For West Europian tourists the princess looked moderate but I doubt that the average citizen would agree with me.Aroud 39 Lari for a young average year and non famous winery too. The food was tasty and probably the portions had something to do with the local host. This skepticism has hindered the maximum 5 ratting . I have to come back to verify my suspension

Wow this place, service and food are wonderful. I read a few reviews before heading out to hunt for a lunchtime restaurant and thought this place sounded great. Well we were not disappointed, the venue is clean, waitstaff attentive and spoke English and the food and wine was fabulous. Highly recommend this place for a Georgian lunch in Kutaisi.
