The Vatra Restaurant opened up December 2001 and ever since it has been the place where the Romanian cuisine is pleasantly supplemented by the authenticity of the Transylvanian sets. Both the delicious dishes made with passion by our chefs and the hospita
A group of us received a recommendation to try Vatra since we were looking for Romanian sarmalute, i.e., cabbage/grape leaf rolls. They had both, i.e.,grape leaf rolls with chicken and cabbage rolls with meat. YUMMY! The service was excellent and the Romanian wine good too. Later, after my group left, I returned for dessert, a raison cheese torte. Also very YUMMY!Dear guest,We thank you for your fine review and for sharing your experience at Vatra Restaurant. We are very pleased to know that our customers are recommending us!Looking forward to have you guest again!Best regards,Christina M

A historic building with more than 130 years since open itâs doors takes you into an interesting experience, I will call it âdiner at the museumâ: from the exterior to the revolving front door to the neo-gothic interior decorations to the waiters uniforms and if you are lucky to see a traditional folkloric Romanian show (which is just during the weekends). Food is great, they have theyâre own beer and Romanian wines. We had bean soup with smoked meat, roasted pork knuckles with cabbage, trout, spicy sausages and homemade cake and Romanian doughnuts. Highly recommended.

Came for a business lunch. The garden is really beautiful. Service was ok but it was mainly colleagues ordering in Romanian. Food was nice but I didnât find it great. But definitely a lovely spot and probably a good place to try traditional romanian food. The menu is international though and big with some very nice options icluding mussels or ceviche. Would be happy to return to try more. Didnât eat mich as it was really hot day:-)Dear Dafne07, Thank you for your visit and for your lovely words. We are delighted when our guests have a good experience in our garden. Have you ever dreamed of at a feast where relaxation and mood are beyond the false rules of etiquette? In a very special place, cuted off from everyday reality, the delicacies are saturated and the medieval scent of the place makes you want to feast with
Very good place with attractive atmosphere from medieval time. If you are meat lover and really hungry, thatâs the place to visit. Excellent for parties from small to bigger teams on dinner. Food delicious, testy, fresh and above all extremely awesome experience as you need to eat as a Knight, bear handed. No forks. Liked it a lot. I have seen many places but never something like that. For sure I will come again.

The first Micro-Brewery and restaurant situated in the Heart of Bucharest.
Berestroika is mixing the power of communism (transparency in the kitchen, beer making), homemade beer, Indian, Romanian and international foods. The place itself won't describe a brewery or Indian food place, it's a 19th century house with a big terace. The staff was quick ond nice. The menu is pretty big with a lot of options from Indian, Romanian, internaÈional cuisines. The beer is produced in 4 kinds: white, blonde, red, dark, the last two are my favorites. The food was good, not as spicy and hot as I would've imagined but decent enough for Europeans.

A friendly place served by open people, with a master chef that is pleased to fill your plate with fresh, tasty and healthy food . Traditional Romanian food is the speciallity in a small, simple and genuine location.
We liked this place very much - mainly because it is in a quiet part of the city, near the Jewish Quarter. We were welcomed into a lovely courtyard by a friendly host. The menu is extensive and we found it hard to choose what to have. The choices we did make were excellent - a good start to our Romania trip. Schnitzel (which was perfectly cooked) and a traditional pork stew with polenta. Bring your appetite because the portions are large! Service was friendly and attentive and our meal was very good value. Highly recommended. Thank you very much for your visit and for your review. Hope to see you again in your visit in Bucharest! All the best for you and your family!

We went there around 6 pm on Thursday. There was a few people and the choice of soups wasnât big. There was only one vegetarian soup (corn soup), because other vegetarian soups were sold out. The corn soup was good. It was cheap, Rumanian cuisine and you were full.
