Reviews on Eastern European food in Bialystok, Podlaskie Province, Poland. A small city with big appeal, Bialystok is a charming Polish town. Visit the impressive Branickis' Palace or admire the beautiful 19th-century architecture of Warszawska Street or follow the historic Jewish Heritage Trail. Performances at the Białystok Puppet Theater are fun for the whole family, as is the dining experience at a local milk bar.

We had a private tour of Bialystok and we asked our tour guide for a restaurant for regional food. She recommended Gospoda Podlaska in the Kosciusko Rynek Square which fit the bill. Excellent strawberry pierogi, potato pancakes, sausage pierogi, and zwijki pork chop. Service could be improved a little....waitress were gabbing at the bar while we were sitting there waiting to have our order taken, but once our order was taken, everything was fine. The restaurant has two menus...the blue for Polish and the red for English. Good food at affordable prices.

Cechowa byÅa tu âod zawszeâ. O kilkudziesiÄciu latach burzliwej historii tego miejsca jeszcze dÅugo opowiadaÄ bÄdÄ rzemieÅlnicy, strażacy i listonosze. Każdy w BiaÅymstoku zna kogoÅ, kto miaÅ tu wesele albo przynajmniej zna kogoÅ, kto zna kogoÅ, kto⦠I tu
OdwiedziliÅmy CechowÄ wczoraj, na podstawie opinii w internecie. Aż dziwne, że tu jest ich tak maÅo. To byÅ strzaÅ w 10. Przepyszne jedzenie. Wszystko - tatar, Åledzik-szuba, na obiad - doradca, pierogi, makaron cechowy, desery - blok czekoladowy, tarta cytrynowa, brownie, lody czarne. Wszystko palce lizaÄ. Przy tym przemiÅa, nienarzucajÄ ca siÄ obsÅuga. Można siÄ przyglÄ daÄ, jak przygotowywane sÄ dania

Located in a builing of the Branicki palace (=Versailles of Poland) this restaurant serves a variety of excellently presented and cooked meals for a -to western standards- wonderful price. We had fresh orange juce, prawns with champaign sauce, veal with local cantarelles, and an excellent espresso (with some free water!) afterwards. After all the pizza's and other fat polish food, it was a delight to eat here.
Regiment Restaurant is located in a historic villa from 1884, it will surprise you with a captivating, stylish interior and atmosphere, excellent service and delicious taste of carefully made dishes.
PiÄkna, elegancka restauracja Perfekcja na każdej pÅaszczyźnie. Talerze, obrusy, serwetki, potrawy, obsÅuga... czujesz siÄ dopieszczony w tym miejscu. Bardzo kontaktowy kelner, opowiadaÅ o historii willi. BrakowaÅo takiego miejsca w BiaÅymstoku. Åwietny tatar, pierogi z miÄsem z żubra, belgijskie piwo beczkowe. Ciut maÅe porcje np. deska miÄs. Ogólnie lokal do polecenia!

For family reasons we have to visit Bialystok regularly and good restaurants are thin on the ground. Esperanto succeeds because the food is interesting and tasty, the staff great and long-serving and the location excellent. Plus it is informal which is a welcome change! Highly recommended.

A nice surprise to enter the restaurant after the rather uninspiring stairs. Beautifully decorated with nice atmosphere and arrangement. The waitress was great and very attentive. We ordered garlic soup and asparagus soup which were both tasty the spicy paste and bread rolls to start were nice but bread would be nicer warm. The chestnut pate was intriguing , we both ordered different versions of goulash for mains. The presentation was a bit clumsy although both dishes were tasty. The surprise was the bill, 9 pln for Segafredo coffee ( milk wasn't included) 13 pln for a lemonade and 2 pln for a takeout box ?The bill for two with no alcohol was 123 pln.It is overpriced for what it is.

We stopped in Bialystock on our way to the airport in Warsaw and found this reastaurant on TA. We highly reccommend it. it seems mostly frequented by locals, the athmosphere is relaxed and the service is very friendly (they speak English, have an English menu and offer a welcome starter). The food is well prepared and tasty. Very high quality. They also serve a tasty lemonade, I had to have 2!Dear Sirs,Thank you for choosing our restaurant. We are pleased that the visit was successful and our dishes met your expectations. We invite you again.Best regards,Anna Góralczuk

A culinary journey through the Borderlands Lithuanian vederaj and didżkukuliai. Chicken breast a la Kiev, Belarusian draniki with pork. Jewish czulent. Podlasie style shank with bison grass. Bison meat pierogi. These are the Borderland cuisine delicacies
The restaurant is very close to the town square. There are tables outside the building so you can sit, eat and watch the walking people. The staff was very nice, the food was very good - czebureki, babka z kieÅbsÄ . Bread acid Gira also was very good. Definitely I can recommend that place.

We had dinner here after a 90 km cycling trip. So we were very hungry. And we were not disappointed. Large potions of very fulfilling food. Itâs no haute cuisine, but it is good food. And there are also vegetarian options. I had two appetizers. The potato pancakes and the hot vegetables. It was enough. The only downside is that the menu is only in Polish. Be sure you have downloaded the Polish language in google translate. Thatâs the only way to make any sense off the menu.

Beautiful surroundings, extraordinary sweet service, nice food - and low prices. The menu is constructed inspired by the different ethnic groups in the area. The food in general is robust nice tasting and the portions are very big. A lot of different ingredients were presented in each of the dishes we ordered - a bit too much for our taste. Still the service made this a fantastic experience and we'd love to come back.
