Find out what Eastern European restaurants to try in Belgrade. Belgrade's long and storied history is suggested by its architecture, which varies from Byzantine and Ottoman to neoclassic and romantic buildings in the older neighborhoods, and from Art Nouveau to brutalism and neo-Byzantine design in New Belgrade. The city's many theaters, museums, monuments and opera houses boast a deep and fissured cultural life while the beaches and rivers attract sunbathers, sports enthusiasts and partygoers on the popular floating river barges that serve as nightclubs.

We turned up shortly before 9 on a Saturday but were able to get a table straight away. We were initially seated in the smoking section but asked to be moved to the non-smoking section, which we were.Entertainment was an opera singer who was excellent and contributed to a great atmosphere in the quirky restaurant.Unfortunately food was pretty average. The Parmesan soufflé wasnât a soufflé at all, more like a cheese scone and had clearly been reheated as it was cold in the middle. It tasted ok though. The sirloin steak had been flattened, which was odd but it was also ok.Overall Iâm glad we tried this restaurant but I wouldnât return.

I have just discovered a great restaurant close to the Temple of Sveti Sava. Food is extraordinary! It's in the Nebojsina street and the name of the restaurant is 'Mala fabrika ukusa' ( Small taste factory). Ecellent place, with nice open garden in the su
The duck was not well cooked and was rubbery. For the price paid at this restaurant better is expected. Requested specification of ingredients not to be added was not followed. Overpriced for the quality of food received. You will not walk away with any change from $100 if you have a full meal with deserts and drink. The only dish that met expectations for quality was the bread tray, which was charged.Dear wolfgoat,We're so sorry to hear that our menu failed to wow you! Further, I'm troubled to hear that you found the duck lacking in flavour and undercooked, as it is not usually so. Please know that we would have replaced any items you were not happy with. And while none of this is what we want to hear, we really appreciate the feedback. We like to believe thereâs something on our menu for everyone to love so we hope you can come back to find a new favourite!Kind regards,Edvina I.

TO JE TO is a small bosnian restaurant in the center of belgrade, which i would never notice if hadn't read the visitors' reviews in trip advisor. Though, i enjoyed eating there very much. It offers a variety of meat dishes which are really delicious and at the same time not expensive at all. I was sad that i visited that place the last night of my stay in beograd so i didn't have the chance to go again. But i will certainly visit again in my next stay in the capital of Serbia.

Hi! I hope my review will be seen by the owners of this place. Iâm really in love with the place and the food you guys serve. I love the breakfast offer, i love the vibe and the design... So with all this emotions I brought my friends to the place as one of the nicest to finish the trip to Beograde. And then almost everything went wrong. 4 people, one with really strong feelings against onion. The waiter was showing all the attitude on the subject, not even trying to find the solution in the onion loving country. Finally we ordered components of the main meal to create a non-onion dinner option for my friend, but in the end we got only half of the combination - polenta. And the waiter brought it saying: Your polenta. With no onion. And then i came to check and realized that the sausages part wasnât even taken to the order. And after that +25 min to get the sausages. We packed them and left the place... And one more time: i know that the place is great. Usually the attitude to me - when everything goes smooth - is also great. But with all the attitude i got tonight - I donât want to be back.

We had breakfast here twice (8am), this is a good restaurant. Egg fried, flat bun, homemade sweet, Kajmak )dairy product)sandwich, gourmet egg. Breakfast was very good. Menus are available in English & Staff spoke reasonable English. They are not too fast and we were ok with that. We experienced this in all traditional Serbian restaurants. The decoration inside the restaurant is very nice & cozy. They have plenty of sitting tables, separate sitting arrangement for smoking & non-smoking. The toilet was clean. I loved my breakfast here and highly recommend this restaurant. Dear guest,Thank you for the time you take to share your impressions with us.â¨We are happy to read you had a great time at our restaurant. Best from ZaviÄaj for the best guests! :)â¨Our team is sending regards and invites you to join us again.Best regards,Management team of ZaviÄaj

We went based on reviews to Gradaska. Alone the walk to the restaurant in this remote corner passing through a playground with dubious people having beer on benches made me think. We ordered ajvar, grilled peppers, baked beans, and on recommendation of the waiter veal cooked till tender in a clay pot with potatoes. The ajvar....not outstanding....we had much better, truly homemade ajvar with a deep red color and a texture that you feel its homemade in other places. But here it was the same pale orange as the one bought in supermarkets. The veal: it was not tender at all, hard, half warm. The beans were good. The food satisfied us purely by filling our bellies, not by its inspiring taste. All in all: it is incomprehensible how this restaurant got its score.Get the true story in the more lively center with homemade specialities and live music.

Ecxellent food and service! I had traditional Serbian honey rakija, and delicious sea bass! Our waiter was Momir, very polite! One of the advantages is the location - itâs right next to the parking staircase, which is specially useful when itâs raining and windy, and you donât have umbrella! Anyway, I definitely recommend this place!Dear Tamara M, Thank you for your kind words, we are so glad you had a great time and that you enjoyed our service! Hope you'll visit us again in the future!
