We stayed in the Fletcher Hotel in Huizens Nautisch Kwartier in March 2015. After one night of eating near the hotel, we had to escape from the Vegas style fakeness of this 'Dutch Fishing village' and looked for somewhere in town instead! The Beau Geste was great because it offered vegetarian options even though it was a French restaurant. My veggie husband didn't fancy the main meal of vegetable tarts, but was able to make up a meal from the â¬4 plates that the restaurant serves, accompanied by a generous portion of chips for â¬3. We saw others ordering these plates tapas style, and there were really good options amongst them if you ate meat and fish. I choose a pork dish with mushroom sauce and rosemary potatoes which was very tasty. The fact that this restaurant was full in March, whilst the more flash eateries on the Nautisch Kwartier were mainly empty is testament to the fact that the Beau Geste offers good tasty cooking with no gimmicks at prices that don't make you squirm. Not haute cuisine maybe, but a filling, pleasant meal served by friendly staff.

The inspectors from Michelin said it best. You immediately feel at home in this cozy neighborhood bistro. Modern French kitchen is brought in a well-thought-out and balanced way, What I personnaly appreciate is that chef Menno goes out of his way to accomodate the wishes of customers and is never shy of prepapring something off the cuff.

So far always good food choice at the Archibald. However the last time the food quality was disappointing. Halibut was serves on top of linguini. Both items were not properly cooked and overall not seasoned properly. Just blend and tasteless to me. Service is mostly done by really young waitress hence sometimes it did not seem well organised. After this time, I'm not sure i'll be back.

One michelin-star restaurant. excellent food, wonderful service, great ambiance. Serves lunch and dinner.
I joined my BF's family tradition to dine here on '2nd Christmas Day'. Very cold, the quiet winter night...get the pix? Great service, friendly staff. I'm Pescatarian, so my Pre Fixe dinner menu was 'fish' all the way. It would've been nice if the chef substituted one dish with all vegetable dish of some sort. But yes, this is a Michelin-starred restaurant, who would dare...lol The rest of my group seemed to enjoy their meal. Regardless, it was very nice atmosphere and a great evening to remember.Dear, Thank you for your kind review and your visit! It's so nice to read that you enjoyed it!Hope to see you again.Kind regards,Team Soigné

This had long been missing in Bussum, a local low key yet very pleasant meeting place. Food is satisfactory, the classics are good and sometimes great specials. Very nice wine by the glass and not skimpy! Actually jealous of the most welcoming and stylish smoking room! Service changes - good intentions and excellent core team - new ones need better training. All in all a welcome and comfortable hang out !

Enviable position right next the canal bridge where you can sit and enjoy a nice meal with an exceptional view. Enjoyed the smoked mackerel salad. Oude kaas made for a great snack. Service was good. One of the nicer spots we saw while walking around town.

We had been here before but a long time ago when the restaurant was under different management. Our Christmas plans changed so we decided to have dinner here. An elaborate menu. The food was delicious the service efficient and the wine selection interesting. The wait between courses was sometimes a bit long. We will definitely will go back.

Porterhouse is the place to (m)eat. For work, with family or friends. All day.
Visited on a midweek night . Made a reservation that lunchtime and were no 31 on list so you do need to reserve ahead of time.Service was efficient and friendly. Steaks were tasty and good quality but at â¬14 to â¬17.50 for standard steak (not dry aged and only up to 200g) it seems a shame that they then charge extra for any sides such as fries or an extortionate â¬4.50 for 4 pieces of broccoli.â¬110 for family of 4 to have basic steak and chips plus 1 coke each for kids and minimal wine / beer for parents. No starters or dessert in that order. Itâs good food but pricing is definitely making the most of the captive audience at the marina

Old friends who live here took us to enjoy an evening meal. I had herring as a starter and halibut to follow. Both were delicious. We drank house white wine - the Sauvignon Blanc was excellent. Two courses each â¬217 including tip.

We had a pleasant lunch with various salads, butter baked flounder done the Dutch way to perfection (2 slip tongetjes) and coquette balls ( 8 bitterballen) with Dutch mustard. We had several baguettes with various cheeses, the bread was double baked. Our server was helpful and pleasant and went out of his way to make us comfortable, excellent English was spoken by all the staff at the restaurant. The prices were very reasonable for the quality and the quantity of the delicious bar type food served. Thank you for a wonderful luncheon.Wow, Thank you very much for the beautifull words! We'll hope to see you soon.Greetings Tom & Manon
