The crémerie stands for fresh artisanal ice cream, with a lot of respect and love for the products. Sugar-free ice cream is also available.
Very friendly staff serves the best ice-cream of the Belgian coast. A lot of delicious tastes with real fruit taste. Also very nice Begian Waffles available!

Wanting to take pictures of the magnificent sunset on Ostendâs waterfront, we diverted from our usual route of turning right onto the promenade and turned left instead, towards the sun. We were looking for somewhere to eat and found this charming little restaurant called Othello. We were given some very tasty tapenade and fresh bread as a taster to begin with, as standard to have with our drinks. Then onto the starter. To say that the scallops I had were the most delicious and tender Iâve ever had would be an understatement. They were utterly superb. We then went onto mussels in white wine for me, and beef for my husband. The mussels were divine, and my husband reports that the meat was really tender and tasty.Dessert was Creme Brûlée for him and ice cream for me. Both absolutely delicious. We would highly recommend this restaurant. It would be advisable to book ahead. We had not booked, and they did accommodate us, but it was full. An absolute gem of a find and we would come again. It is pricey, but we donât mind paying for quality. For drinks and three courses each the bill amounted to about â¬120.00.The service was good too and the owners very attentive. Given that the position of the restaurant is a little bit away from the main thoroughfare, it was full nevertheless, and worthy of walking just that little but further west to find it. There is a step up from the pavement, but if someone were being pushed in a wheelchair I think the wheelchair could be lifted up the step. One couple had a little dog with them who had its own seat. They allow well behaved dogs into restaurants in Belgium. Not sure if they all do, but Iâve noticed a number of them seem to allow it.

If you don't mind being a little crowded and hot, the mussels here are pretty amazing. Service was fast and server was great at helping us translate menu options. Little pricey, but you should expect this at such a touristy city.

Came specifically for the pancakes and was not disappointed. For 4 euros, you get two dinner plate sized pancakes, which were velvety soft, thin, with just enough stretch. I prefer mine simple with butter and sugar. You get two servings of butter and a choice of sugars: blonde cassonade, dark brown or regular. The cappuccino served with whipped cream is typically Belgian, and they do a much better job at it than the cappuccino with foam milk. The coffee concoctions seem to be on the pricier side compared to other restaurants. I would return fo the pancakes and plain Expresso.

We went for family lunch. The service is friendly and efficient. The vibe is nearly glamorous. The food (fish, salad special, children's hamburgers) however was of mediocre quality compared to other places we went to. We would return for drinks and snacks.

Way back in the 1920s, Den Toogoloog was an old-fashioned butchery, and not too much later it became a beerhouse or pub without doing away with the old butcheryâs charm or authenticity. Nowadays, Den Toogoloog is a popular place in Middelkerke where peopl
We had Friday afternoon drinks outside in the very pleasant courtyard. The staff really made us feel welcome as did the other guests. The beer menu is interesting and a real plus is the very clear way it's laid out. Snacks were pretty standard but well presented and up to the mark.
