Welcome to Restaurant De FuikAt De Fuik you can enjoy gastronomy in a relaxed atmosphere. For years, the beautiful terrace of the Fuik has been a phenomenon. The Fuik has a private jetty, where you can moor at the restaurant directly. We also have 2 private
Although our previous visit to De Fuik during 'Restaurant Week' was disappointing, we decided to go there again and give it another try. We were not disappointed this time. Upon arrival, we were invited to have an aperitif on the terrace overlooking the river. We decided to have our starter outside as well and then move inside, which wasn't a problem at all. In addition to the set three course menu we decided to have one additional course and 'upgrade' our dessert to cheese. One of us also chose the recommended wines fitting with each course. Even though the restaurant was not packed, there were six staff around and we were very well attended to. The sommelier had great stories about the choice of wine and it was a nice surprise to get a tasting of three different dessert wines accompanying the cheese. When coffee was served, there was a vast selection of home-made sweets and treats to pick from. The food in general was very good in both taste and in presentation. We left very satisfied and received a nice gift (some home-made sweets).

Always a busy venue but unexciting & rather expensive lunch food. I had a tosti which was awful, great presentation with a dog paw print embossed on the sandwich but the filling was hugely disappointing. How can you mess up a toasted sandwich! I would maybe go back for a beer but eat elsewhere!

It is our first choice, because of constant quality, nice courses on the card and good wines, all for very reasonable prices. Paying at the en, you are always satisfied. Fish, mussels, coquilles st. Jacques are very fresh and lean. I love the desserts too!!So we can advise this adres with this young enthusiastic owner, who is almost always there for personal advising and hospitality.Especially in the evening with nice sunny weather this is our favorite adres in the sun or under the large umbrella's with the unique view over the central market (vismarkt). Heusden is a nice city (1190 inhabitants) with many monumental houses from about 1610. Cityrights since 1280!!

Normally when we bring friends to Oude Heusden to see the sights, we eat at the pancake house... for no specific reason... Not anymore!!The cheese seller recommended the Koogel and we decided to give it a try and wow, we were very very pleasantly surprised! We arrive early for lunch but the manager nevertheless brought out the full menu for us. The service is excellent, friendly and attentive. We were offered nice seating area next to the fire place but opted to sit at the front window bar seats as it was very cozy. When the food arrived, the presentation was excellent and as well the taste. The size of the portions were just right and the price made it a great value. For sure, we will be back!!

Second time we had salmon with an oriental touch and later i had a perfect piece of cod with beurre blanc. Desserts were yummie as Well. Top !! At the time of writing, there is only one tripadvisor review of this bakery. That is a shame, since this is a very nice place. It is one of the few bakeries in Europe where they make their own bread in front of you (even on Sunday!). It seems to be family-owned, and the extended family seemed to enjoying a Sunday brunch while we were there. There arenât many places like this left in Europe, so letâs support it!We had a sandwich and some very good pea soup.Heusden is a lovely town and well worth a visit,

CÃTE Bar Bistro, an unique Paris inspired restaurant in the "de Korte Putstraat" in 's-Hertogenbosch.
We sat upstairs and by the windows which was really nice. Great atmosphere and excellent service. Hi had the French onion soup, flank steak and creme brulee plus a bowl of fresh bread. It was excellent and I highly recommend them for anyone looking for a great dinner.
