Perhaps 'grand cafe' is overstating it, it is a pretty average place to eat or have a drink. Nothing fancy. Prices are pretty average too. You can have coffee/tea and cake, do simple breakfast, lunch or dinner. The opening times are wide enough for you to enjoy a meal before or after stepping aboard the ferry.

We had lunch on a busy day and despite the crowds had good service and enjoyed our mussels. The portions of chips seemed small but we weren't charged for the additional chips we requested.

Really, I have been many times now and every time it has been very good all round.I can only recommend even if you are looking for fresh vegetarian food it has a few things but always a changing dish that has been very delicious, nicely presented and made from fresh ingredients. The burgers are good too and you can configure your own choice of toppings and sources. Also a good selection of vines! Its a very comfortable, spacious and tastefully arranged modern style bistro restaurant that can give the more established places in Harlingen a run for their money!I will be there many more times I hope...LEKKER & LEUK!!!

Excellent food and very good wine. Lovely atmosphere and very friendly chef and staff. Tried to go to the restaurant again the following night but they had been so busy they had run out of food and were closing early. Would love to eat there again.
Lekker geluncht in centrum Harlingen. Omelet was verrassend ligt van smaak een structuur. Toasty lekker met zeer goede pesto! Verse zwarte thee

We were flabbergasted at how good was our oven-seared cod fillet dinner on our first night in Harlingen Harbour, so much so we went back the next night and were equally dazzled by the quality (and quantity!) of our plaice dinners ... had we stayed another night, we would have made it a hat-trick. Presentation was top-notch and the fish was perfectly cooked as were the fresh vegetables. Service was friendly but did not hover ... the dining room was spotless and well-appointed and the toilet facilities were also well-kept. They were both contenders for the best fish meal I've had the pleasure to enjoy. Highly recommended.

Modern restaurant met ambachtelijke authentieke keuken , in een zeer gastvrije omgeving in het hartje van Harlingen
We had lunch here when we came of the ferry from Terschelling. The restaurant is nicely decorated and has a good atmosphere. Nice laid back music, friendly staff and many teas. We had a starter platter to share and the soup of the day. All very tasty and fresh. The coffee afterwards was als very good.Highly recommended for lunch in Harlingen.

My date took me out to this âupper classâ restaurant. We sat out in the conservatory, which looks absolutely gorgeous. Very modern and sleek. The restaurant offers good service and high quality food. The dishes are real eye-catchers: every course looked beautiful. The only thing was: I didnât enjoy the food so much. I felt like they were trying too hard. Putting so many flavours into such a tiny dish (I mean seriously, it was just one or two bites in a dish) is just too much! There was hardly any balance between the foods and flavours and I felt that they let these beautiful products go to waste by adding so much stuff. Personally I just like a good plate of real food. Nothing too fancy, just good flavours and enough food on my plate. So this restaurant and itâs eye-catching dishes are just not my cup of tea. But if youâre really into kickshaw and you have plenty of cash (itâs an expensive restaurant - fortunately my date was really nice ;)), this could be the place for you.
