Diest (Dutch pronunciation: [dist]) is a city and municipality located in the Belgian province of Flemish Brabant. Situated in the northeast of the Hageland region, Diest neighbours the provinces of Antwerp to its North, and Limburg to the East and is situated around 60 km from Brussels. The municipality comprises the city of Diest proper and the towns of Deurne, Kaggevinne, Molenstede, Schaffen and Webbekom. As of January 1, 2006, Diest had a total population of 22,845. The total area is 58.20 km² which gives a population density of 393 inhabitants per km².

Together with my wife and also with friends, I have been here now a couple of times and it is a pleasure to return. The menu has 'classics' but also follows the season and the last time it had very nice offerings of venison. Service is friendly, but if you come near the weekend, we found out that making a reservation is to be recommended.

The place is small but roomy. The service is good. The food is fresh and tasty. The coffee is spot on. They have very delicious desserts. It's friendly atmosphere with good background music. They cater to everyone including families and young children. You can sit outside if the weather permits and get a great view of the Basillica.

I visit this restaurant regularly. The meals are prepared correctly. Most dishes are seasoned well and are freshly made. Except for the clamps which are underseasoned and therefore lack in taste. Service is run by brother and sister. Both are efficient but forget that visitors also like to be adressed to in a friendly manner. They appear very clinical and don't seem to be having any fun at all. Pease lighten up a little while serving your guests.

This cute restaurant is located in the beautiful countryside of Diest. We came here to experience the Local cuisine and was very impressed with our experience. The food was some of the best food we experienced during our stay in Belgium. The restaurant is set with a romantic ambiance that allowed for a romantic get away close to the city, but far enough to where you feel like your in the far off countryside. If you are looking for a romantic dinner, delicious food, or some good drinks, this is the place!

Leuke plaats voor een lichte lunch. Je kan er een ruim assortiment aan croques bereid met verschillende soorten brood krijgen. Ik nam een croque van bruin brood met geitenkaas, vijgen en honing. Ook aan koffie en desserten is er keuze genoeg.

Dinner late thursday evening so place wasnt crowded. Seats are a bit packed. Service is excellent! Food was very good, perfectly served. Only thing to remark was that the self made fries werent perfectly cooked, the fat was a bit old i think . Very cozy place!
