Een bijzonder restaurant. Leuk ingericht en bijzonder vriendelijke mensen. Iedereen doet goed z'n best het je naar de zin te maken. Voor en achter een leuk terras. Prima kaart met een paar spannende zaken. Deze keer zijn we voor de salades gegaan. De kip salade, de geitensalade en de asperge tosti. Iedereen is weer blij van tafel vertrokken. De wijn is acceptabel en de koffie is bijzonder. De koffie is goed en wordt geserveerd met een glaasje water en een glaasje slagroom. Natuurlijk ook iets zoetig erbij. Top! De volgende keer ga ik lopen, want ik wil de "wine tasting" wel eens proberen.

We had lunch and it was really good!the portions were big and our plates looked neat even for serving sandwiches!the staff were very polite and attend.they got also good selection of beers and u can even play boardgames!very cozy place,def i ll visit again!

With a group of 12 (most senior citizens) we had an excellent dinner a la carte; the order were taken efficiently and delivery was fast thanks to efficioent waitresses and wireless contact with the kitchen. After a lunch the previous day - which was very good, we decide to book for dinner the next day. It has been a long time since we had such good food for such a very reasonbale/cheap price, and at the same time an efficient service.

We visited the restaurant for a family meal and were not disappointed,The friendly staff were very welcoming and the choice and selection of food was very varied and all cleanly displayed, the cooking staff were very knowledgeable, The eating area was very clean, the only downside was the lack of air conditioning, the blowers under the stairs is not sufficient, Very well done to all concerned

Always good! The surprice menu is always very nice and served with very good wines if you want. The french fries served with the main dish was kind of misplaced and probably only there for very hungry dutch people who can't live without fries but you can just ignore them. Food is absolutely excellent and the price a bargain for what you get!

De Kantine is an unexpected find in a small town - the quality of the cuisine is truly memorable, and worth going out of one's way for. The atmosphere of this pub is warm and inviting, with traditional touches to the decor in an overall setting that is consistent with up-to-date aesthetics. I much enjoyed the special beers that were on tap at the time of my visit, but the highlight without a doubt was one of the best club sandwiches I have had anywhere in the world. On all fronts - presentation, freshness of ingredients, subtlety of preparation, and clean, crisp constellation of delicious flavors - this sandwich was exceptional. Finally, the service at this establishment is welcoming and attentive, and an important part of a great overall experience. I cannot recommend de Kantine enough, and look forward to returning at the earliest opportunity.

Enjoyed spending time with my family from Asten while visiting from Canada at this unique eatery. It was a pleasant surprise to dine here knowing my cousin's daughter is one of the chef's here.
