Find out what Diner restaurants to try in Weimar. Weimar was quite the intellectual hotspot back in the day, with Goethe, Friedrich Schiller, Bach, Liszt, Lucas Cranach and the Weimar School all spending time here. Goethe groupies will enjoy visiting his home, his tomb and the museum dedicated to him. If you’re in search of great food, visit during the Weimar Onion Market, held in October. (Just don’t forget your mints.)

I really hoped for an improvement since my last visit, but unfortunately it is still bad. A lot of dishes were not available. The todays dish was a standard shawarma wrap and it didn't convince me. No recommendation!

Welcome to our rustic-elegant Restaurant "Bettina von Arnim" in the neighbourhood of Goethes house. We serve fresh delicious dishes combined with a rich variety of vintages on offer.
We dinned at this restaurant twice during our stay at the Dorint Am Goetheparke Hotel in Weimar. On both occasions our food was superb in taste and presentation. The dessert chose was so wonderful that I had it both evenings. As my husband has many allergies , the chef was able to cater for him and this was greatly appreciated. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.

Came here for dinner, had a three course set meal. Visitors may be relieved to discover that there is little in the way of heavy German cuisine here; it is basically French with possibly a dash of Italian thrown in. There were about five items to choose from, For my mains I ordered a traditional Alsatian dish called âFlammkuchenâ which turned out to be a very thin pizza covered in raw onions. It was almost inedible until the onions were removed. In all other respects the restaurant is pleasant and the staff were friendly. Probably my fault for ordering the wrong dish.I`m very sorry, but we do not have any Pizza !?! The French-Flammkuchen are very different and not to compare. One of our Flammkuchen (in french: tarte flambé) is named "Italien" and has an ingredients- combination which is well known from Italy as: Mozzarella, Basilikum, Tomato. All the other Flammkuchen (we have 13 items to choose from, not only 5!) are french regions named and has typical ingredients-combinations of this regions. All in all our Flammkuchen offer is only one part of the total supply. Flammkuchen are a particular offer from ElsaÃ.Our main offer consists of classic French dishes with Bretonian flavor, as our kitchen chef comes from St. Malo (little Brittany).Perhaps you should try next time another typical french dish.

I had not expected to be so amazed by this little restaurent. Between old bottle, paintings from around weimar and the un countable tee pots lies a ambiance unique. I had superb meal, traditional food done perfectly. The service vas AWSOME. The owner has this garlic liquor that he makes himself that is really good. I recommend it if you want to eat a good home meal. I will definitely go back as soon as I can.
