As of the 2010 census it had a population of 5,522. The community was named for the cascade in Wappinger Creek. A portion of the village is in the town of Wappinger, and the other part is in the town of Poughkeepsie, with Wappinger Creek forming the dividing line between the towns.

We always enjoy going to diners so when we spotted Table Talk for dinner and decided to give it try. extensive menu; sandwiches, platters three courses meals. Our waiter was polite and helpful. I enjoyed the turkey dinner - stuffing was very good as were the mashed potatoes. The lemon meringue pie was huge and excellent. Service was prompt and we did not have to ask for beverage refills. Ample parking right by the restaurant. We come up to the Hyde Park area for the historical sites and we will put Table Top as a spot to revisit.

The I84 Diner is coveniently located at the Rt. 52 exit from I84. It is large with several rooms as well as counter seating.The menus for breakfast and lunch are large with a wide variety of traditional selections.The portions are large and the quality good.The service is friendly and efficient.It's very popular because it is good.

It's a diner, with the gleaming chrome and bright lights to prove it. I've been there numerous times, mostly after movies with friends. Not the place for a romantic dinner, but a great spot for tasty food and awesome desserts. They also serve alcohol. The service has always been very good.

I highly recommend this place. The food is terrific, sooo many options to choose from and it's reasonable in price. Its a busy place but the pleasant staff manages to keep things moving. My only regret is that I was too full to try a dessert!

This is great spot for diner food. The egg white veggie omelette is cooked with fresh veggies and is delicious. It is a nice quiet, friendly place...not one of those "super diners" with inflated prices and regular food. I definitely recommend checking this place out if you have never been here.

Been coming to the Odyssey for quite some time now. Never been disappointed.The food is always most plentiful, hot, and very tasty. And the prices are great.Everyday specials include soup and salad for very reasonable prices.Wednesday is lamb shank Wednesday. 2 big sized lamb shanks with lots of meat.Stuffed salmon with crab meat is also a favorite.The wife loves the lemon artichoke chicken w/ capers over a huge bed of angel hair pasta.Dont forget to leave room for the cheesecake. Always fresh and to die for.
