To help you better understand my reviews, my wife and I are independent travelers in our mid-60s. While we definitely like a bit of luxury and enjoy good food, we usually find five-star hotels and Michelin starred restaurants too pretentious. We have dined at the Gasthof Adler on many occasions while attending the Schubertiade in Schwarzenberg. The food is "nouvelle" with Austrian touches (particularly in their choice of ingredients). The food is consistently excellent, with many interesting choices on the menu. The specials follow what is available locally and seasonally. On our most recent visit, we took a friend out to lunch and had the most wonderfully light housemade ravioli filled with Pfifferlinge (German for chanterelles). We always look forward to dining here. In good weather, sitting out in their garden is delightful. And when it is cold and rainy, the interior is divided into a number of small rooms with only a few tables in each room, so dining is intimate.

âBased on good local food but open to international trendsâ is how our head chef, Walter Feurstein, desccribes his approach to cooking. Together with his faithful team of 6-7 cooks and 5-6 trainees, he has been cooking âsomething to please everybodyâ or th
It is a very good place to stay or just have a fine meal. A few Generations of the Rhomberg Family have successfully served the Dornbirn Business Population .It is geared up for Tourism and only the more effluent locals would go there. You always pay a premium for Snob Value.

I found this restaurant just by chance, I "felt" it. In my way up to Bregenz I felt that in that small town, Schwarzach, there must be a restaurant that standing in that special place should comprehense different tastes. In fact, I found a restaurant that offers excellent austrian, but also some other international food. Service is very good and kitchen is able to show very easily its expertise. Mr. Boer is a very elegant and competent chief. Besides, the place where the restaurant is located is really inetresting.Hope you got back well, look forward to my visit later this year!!

We were the first time in this 'Berghaus' which consists of a hotel and a traditional restaurant. The owners and the service were very friendly. The place was rather busy and we were the only foreigners. The two of us each enjoyed a Wienerschnitzel with French fries and a mixed salad. All good quality and honest food at a great price. The restaurant is a casual sit down service with views to the valley and the almost monumental Kanisfluh mountain on the other side. The final bit of the road which leads to the restaurant is narrow and in parts one lane only. However, it is worth the trip if you are in the area.
