Nice and warm place, we were pleasantly surprised by the atmosphere and we were served by a super nice and gentle young chap. We had a nice corner where our dog got water before we got our drinks ;)Good food, honest portions, the cordon bleu were really tasty. Impossible to have dessert after that although we wanted to try two of them! That will be for next time!Thank you DMLDML for the lovely feedback!Honest portions are important for us, so you start next time maybe wit the dessert! Just joking...:) Thank you again and we are looking forward to welcome you again.

Restaurant GUSTAV We are known for Antonio Colaianniâs sensual cuisine. His cuisine is Mediterranean â the dishes are modern interpretations of culinary classics with an Italian touch. We offer a new business lunch weekly and our creative menu is changed
This is not a review of Gustav's Michelin-starred restaurant, which awaits our first visit. It concerns the hotel's delightful ground-floor café and confiserie, which we now have visited twice. Tired of seeking a pleasant place for Saturday lunchtime's light lunch in Zurich's busy Bahnhofstrasse and weary of the permanent crush in Globus's fashionable coffee shop, we found this place as we explored the boutique shops in the up-and-coming Kreis 4 area of Zurich. A few steps from the edgy Langstrasse and near the end of the new 'place to be' quarter bounded by Europaallée and Lagerstrasse, Gustav's coffee shop is a tranquil refuge from Saturday shopping. We were greeted by friendly and professional staff and seated at a pleasant table for two by the window. We chose the house specialty of Italian tartines, with a well-recommended glass of white wine to accompany it. These toast slices topped with delicious ingredients were a pleasure for the senses in design, smell and taste. For those who do not have the appetite for a large lunch, these are perfect. We followed with excellent coffee and patisserie which appealed to the senses just as much as the tartines. Not a large place and tables are limited, but well worth visiting for the food, service and ambiance. We have added this to our shortlist of 'go-to' places in Zurich.

The risotto here was the best I have ever had in my life. The schnitzel was more beautiful than at all those fancy places in Vienna. Service simply makes you happy; all those smiling faces are unforgettable. And then again that risotto... This must be heaven...
Where to eat European food in Schlieren: The Best Restaurants and Bars

This Interesting restaurant is part of a cloistered Benedictine convent - it is part of a working farm as well as commercial wine cellar. It's in a stunning setting in what was once a very rural location. It is totally peaceful even though today it is barely at the edge of town. The grounds are extensive & cattle, sheep & pigs are farmed; vegetables are grown & vines are cultivated. The food in the restaurant was totally stupendous - I don't think I've ever eaten lamb of the quality in Europe before - we opted to eat from the special lunch menu which consisted of a delicious pumpkin soup; an intermediate course of fresh salad & our main which was rack of lamb. I wound happily go back again to eat more of this delicious fare.We sat outside on what was a stunning & very warm autumn day.The staff were friendly & very pleasant & efficient.Total cost for 2 people - 70 Swiss Francs - we drank water; no alcohol.
