Browsing through Newburyport, found good reviews for Angie's and decided to give it a try. Line went to the back of the restaurant but moved quickly. Standard mom and pop diner menu. Cheesesteak and gyro were both very good, coffee refills plentiful, good seasoned waitress. Perfect spot for a good quick meal, would definitely return.

I live in Newburyport but love good food. I went to this diner with my my son (which isn't always common) and I just loved the ambience. Pat (the owner) greeted us and was most gracious. We sat at the counter and ate our breakfast. I couldn't help but think that there was so much history in this place and so many stories. Thank you Pat for your hospitality and good food!

Tried Mama Dukes (formerly The Finest Kind) for breakfast recently. They have done a really nice job fixing up a very old building. Had french toast with a strawberry compote and it was very good, and friend had an excellent broccoli cheese omelet. The only drawback was that it was not handicap accessable. It would be difficult for anyone in a wheel chair to enter and sit comfortably. Good local place and will be back

We have been here multiple times and found them in the above average to good range however today was a different story. We ordered simple breakfast dishes; bacon and eggs plus a "larger man's size breakfast with eggs, bacon and pancakes. Both dishes came with grilled english muffins that were over done and dry.We both had cold home fries (from real potatoes - a plus!) which were cold. My son said he would keep his but I wanted hot home fries. Our server brought a plate over and took the cold home fries from my plate back to the kitchen to warm them - they did come back warm. My question - is that against health regulations? Taking food off my plate, returning it to the kitchen, placing on the grill and warming it.Not too comfortable with today's visit so it will be a long time before we return
