Was taking the scenic route home (to do some exploring and take pics) from Orlando back to Miami and needed to "fuel up" ! Passed this place and made a u-turn to go back. Glad I did !!! Friendly people and great food at a good price. So many choices.... Had Linda's Hash Browns with an egg over easy, sorry Waffle House, you lose !!! Big chunks of ham and sauteed onions. Good coffee too.

We decided to take a ride, we have seen the Rodeo Diner before and decided to try it for lunch. The first thing that struck was the smell, it was not pleasant. We realized that the smell was probably due to the old, dirty and torn carpeting. The server was very nice and efficient but she was the best part of our experience. The chili was tasteless, the steak was supposed to be med rare but was a lot closer to raw and I had to send it back, it was also unseasoned. The spinach in the omelet was either frozen or canned, the fruit salad was out of a jar and the green beans seemed to have been canned. I rarely write a poor review but other than the two servers, I found nothing positive.

Great little budget eatery on the Main Street. The daily special (Baked Ziti) was delicious. Lots of seating available and our server, the owner, was friendly and professional. The servings were large and their daily soups are homemade. The only fault I can think of would be the quality of the restrooms. I can only speak about the Ladies, but it could use some TLC.

First, restaurants probably should be rated in different categories. You can't rate the Holopaw equal to, say a restaurant in Manhattan, but in the category of Crossroads America, rural cafes, this is the place. Most important - very clean - no greasy spoon. Service was sassy and great. I asked, "Are you still serving?" It was 1 pm. "Did you read the signs on the door?" was her reply. When I asked about could she do this or that with an item, she said, "You tell me what you want, and I'll tell you if we can make it." And they did. Cooked to order all the way. I had an "open faced" (she told the cook, with a little sarcasm) country fried steak sandwich, on white bread, with gravy. It was good. The couple a few booths down had their specialty, fried frogs legs, which they raved about, and got an extra order to go for her father. Also of note is their Swamp Cabbage, but I'm not that adventurous. I was too full for the homemade peach cobbler. Probably my loss.Down home good country cooking, with service from a lady like my sassy aunt Mildred. Loved it. Best place between St. Cloud/Harmony and Melbourne. (The ONLY place - but worth the effort to find.) Do drop in. It's in Holopaw, not St. Cloud.
