We were visiting the Rome area, and wanted a good breakfast before we hit the road Sunday morning. And no fast food!! Landmark was our only choice. But it turns out, a good choice. Service was excellent, food selection good, and good food. And coffee! Diner atmosphere, very comfortable. The lunch menu looked good too. But if you find yourself in Rome on Sunday morning , stop at Landmark. Youâre welcome!

I don't think I've ever been to a Waffle House restaurant before, but our recent experience with this location left a positive impression. Late at night, around 11 pm, this was almost the only place in the area still open for a sit-down meal. The WH is located conveniently near -- within walking distance -- of the cluster of hotels on the north side of Hwy 411 on the southeast end of Rome. The place was brightly lighted, and well-kept. A surprising number of patrons, even at the late hour; both locals and travelers. Waitstaff was very friendly and helpful. We were able to order breakfast, lunch or dinner items as we wished. Meals were adequate and tasty (though I'd have liked the Angus burger to have been larger and the hashbrowns a bit browner). Another in our party who ordered a green salad found it surprisingly ample. Overall, this was a good spot for easy diner-style chow after a long day on the road. Dinner for three came to under $25, before tip. Also: the WH sits next to a Shell service station with a food mart, so one may afterwards shop for snacks to take back to one's hotel for the evening.

This Zaxby's location doesn't disappoint. Their drive through is always good and fast and the employees are courteous. Food is consistently good. The parking lot at this location can be a little tricky as it shares an entrance with a pawn shop. When it's busy, it can be a little crazy pulling in and out. Overall very good. Exactly what you would expect from Zaxby's.
