Reviews on Diner food in Reno, Nevada, United States. Nevada's "other" gambling and resort town, Reno is located in the western part of the state near the California border. What the city lacks in glitz or reputation it more than makes up for in attractions and amenities. There are first-rate hotels, golf courses and casinos to rival its southern counterpart and, also like Las Vegas, Reno has become a popular destination for families. Galena Creek Park offers nature trails that even young children can navigate, plus organized educational events for families.

Beefy's is a tiny hole-in-the-wall place, although the interior is roomier and seats more people than one might think upon first glance. Menu is mostly burgers and hot dogs, although they have other specialty items. I had the Stetson Burger and it was excellent. They also serve beer. If you're in downtown Reno, a 7 minute ride on #1 bus gets you there, and it will be worth it. Highly recommended

This place is amazing every time we come. Today we are having Sunday breakfast and three days ago I had the Tri tip sandwich. Delicious. Serve all menu items all day. This place loaded with locals. Servers treat you like family. This is the place to come. Home cooking at great prices and friendly atmosphere. Guy Fieri comes here whenever he is in town and so do we!!! Come on in...you will be glad you did...

One waitress seemed to be covering 90% of the tables while several others (bus boy, cashier) chatted at the cash register throughout our visit. Our drink glasses were never refilled despite having them clearly empty & on the edge of the table for over 15 minutes. Waitress got 3 things wrong with our order: forgot our side of pasta salad, when reminded went and brought back cole slaw (!), and then charged us for an extra drink we never ordered or received. Quality of food was passable. The same owners have a much better breakfast and lunch restaurant inside the nearby Gold Dust West (better service, better food), but GDW does not allow anyone under 21. Next time, if we have minors, we'll go to our tried and true Peg's Glorified Ham & Eggs.Thank you for the valuable feedback. We apologize for dropping the ball on your recent visit. Your comments will help us to improve.

We decided earlier that we were gonna eat on Grand Sierra Hotel property (Saturday nights are so busy when attending a furry convention, especially one like 'Biggest Little Furry Con' - 'Top 3' convention of its kind worldwide). We decided to set up a meeting group of younger and Greymuzzle furries for dinner at 'Johnny Rockets' before suiting up for a long and festive Sat. Night 05/18/19 into early Sun. Morning 05/19/19. I had the BBQ-Ranch Bacon Cheeseburger with Fries and Ice Water. It was delicious, as it was my only meal of the day!!! My friends enjoyed their entrees as well. It's a tradition of my friends who've attended BLFC in the past to eat here (This was my first time attending BLFC in 2019) So, I can now say I've had Johnny Rockets with the other fluffbutts!!! Our waitress was always prompt with great service. Overall, despite the dining room being very crowded - it was a very good experience. FIVE CLAWS UP!!!!! Furry Friendly. Thanks for reading my review of 'Johnny Rockets' at GSR during BLFC '19. Joe G. Bear - Redondo Beach, CA

The folks at Black Bear Diner understand that visitors to our incredible city, and many residents, focus on spending time at the casinos. But that doesnât mean they donât need a great place to eat! Our wonderful staff is prepared to serve the very best fo
This restaurant was recommended to us from a Reno local as we traveled in from South Carolina. It was a very good choice and we really enjoyed our food. During the next 5 days we ate at 3 different locations of the Black Bear Cafe and had good meals at each one.

As soon as you walk in, your senses are on high alert. You hear a noisy friendly place. You smell, hunger inducing, breakfast foods being cooked. You see a bright clean setting, then you notice mountainous plates of food go by. Could they get anymore food on those plates? Probably not. The booth we had felt comfortable and the silverware had a nice heavy feel to it. Very quickly our friendly server brought our piping hot food served on large heavy plates. Then to taste. I had the Ham & eggs and my spouse had the Country Fried Steak & eggs. The eggs were cooked perfectly. The huge pieces of meat were very good. The meals were served with a plate long side of buttery hash browns. Plus, Unlimited, like you could ever eat more, soft and thick toast. Adorned with a full size slice of melon, the presentation made us chuckle at the task ahead of us. That was, trying to eat all of this food. Our meals were $10.99 each, but we sure didnât need lunch later. I had the fresh squeezed orange juice, my partner a cup of coffee. Both got high marks on temperature and taste.
