Passing through Shepherdstown we were looking for a local establishment where they served typical comfort food at reasonable prices. This was perfect . Nothing fancy and rather small but offered that small town quaintness. Give it a try!

An old and popular Truck Stop Diner, re-opened under new ownership and with a new name, is very 'Retro' NJ/NY Style Diner with lots of chrome, a counter with spinning stools, and lot's of Truck & Car signs and decals make the decor unique and a step back in time, but with delicious and fresh home made food at a reasonable price!The burger was fresh made, the french fries were hand cut, the corned beef hash was also fresh made and our little boy liked his pancake and his home made Hershey ice cream milkshake! YUM!The service was very friendly and fast!We will definitely be back again!Thank you, rickgmail! We hope to see you at TJ's again soon!

The Waffle House just opened a few days ago and we went with friends to try it. The staff was extremely friendly and attentive. Our waitress was Tonisha and she was super.The food was very good. I asked for crispy bacon and it was perfect.We were all very pleased and plan on returning.We would highly recommend this restaurant.

I took my two sons for Breakfast. The waitress took our order and we waited 30 minutes only to find out she got busy and put the ticket in her pocket and forgot to turn it in to the kitchen. She gave us our drinks for free. I ordered the chipped beef gravy with the breakfast. It was almost ALL gravy and no chipped beef served lukewarm. Bacon and eggs were good and cooked just right but the bisquits were somewhere between a dinner roll and a bisquit. I personally did not find them very good. I will give Billie's another try.....everyone makes mistakes and will review the restaurant again.

The only thing good were the second cups of coffee.The first cups we had were bad because the creamers had turned sour !. My wife had a spinach omelette and the spinach was frozen and looked and tasted horrible. I ordered two eggs over easy with home fries ( it was Sunday morning and they were out of home fries ) they suggested hash browns instead and I was fine with them but they were raw barely cooked and tasteless. We ordered rye bread and got white bread,one of my eggs was over well and dry.The last thing was the service the waitress had to take care of the 9 tables and help with the counter so the service was terrible.

Slow and even slower service, good food but takes so long to get it. Wait staff Iâll informed and canât answer questions and donât care attitude are bad. The pies, cakes and cheesecake are good, if you just go in and get those, expect to wait a while.

We loved stopping at diners as we travel. We decided to eat lunch here after a visit to historic Charles Town. The menu has many items to choose from, including breakfast all day, as well as specials of the day. The portions are quite substantial, and the food was good. The assortment of delights in the dessert case is quite impressive.
