6. Blue Mountain Tavern

We have been going to this location for many years! This space was previously occupied by Julianna's....a favorite local place that we frequented. When it closed, we were very sad. However, now that Blue Mountain has opened, we have a great place right near our house again! We have been there once the first week they opened and were not disappointed. The food is similar to Julianna's but with a twist and some new additions to the menu. When we were there, the menu was somewhat limited but the owner - who was delightful - said he would be expanding the menu soon. The place was very busy for the first week open and everyone seemed happy. The bar has been given a facelift and was very crowded. The restaurant has been redone and brightened up. All welcome changes. We can't wait to go back! The neighborhood is buzzing about the reopening and if the quality of the food and service continues, it will be a great success!

I remember there was a Hogans many years ago near where the Palisades Mall is now. I heard it was great and then it moved. I never got around to going, but being new to the Haverstraw area, we decided to go in and give them a try. Not disappointed at all. Friendly service, clean, great food, and priced just where you would expect. My wife is a big bacon fan and made a few comments on how good this bacon was. My breakfast was great and the overall experience was 10/10. We'll be going back for sure.

We stopped at the Burger Diner before a show at the Paramount theatre. We were seat quickly. Our server was very good and answer all of our questions. I had a very good cheeseburger with onion rings. The rest of my party enjoyed their food also. The prices are right. I would eat here again.

We took a group of people there for breakfast and had a very nice meal and experience. The servers kept refilling our coffee cups without being asked, and the food was very good (and low-priced). Very little wait for the food to come out from the kitchen as well. I would gladly go back there in the future.

We had lunch at the Center Diner. The 80-90 year old diner is in great shape and authentic. The food is good and plentiful at reasonable prices. They have a large menu, but there were several items we wanted that were not available. They only take cash so plan ahead. The server was very nice, helpful and attentive. The food came very quickly.
