We just happened upon this restaurant in South Houston (about 3-4 mi. south of loop 610) and we were so fortunate. They have an extensive menu for a cafe. The pancakes are large, thick, but not too heavy, and of course good. They have something called a steam bar, where you pick out an entree out of several choices, vegetables, and a salad if you desire. The entrees are a large serving. The food is very good. They can probably seat about a hundred folks so there is not usually a wait. The prices are very reasonable. Parking is at a premium, and be careful about parking in the next door McDonald's, because they have signs that threaten towing your car. The location is just about a mile east of the Gulf Freeway (I45). We will stop here every time we are in Houston, in route to Galveston.

Frank's is a greasy spoon, but is fast and inexpensive. I stated it has the best breakfast in town, but that is because there are not very many good breakfast options in Pasadena. Sure, we have IHOP and Denny's, but they are not that good to me and cost more than Frank's.The portions are generous, with the food being served fast and hot - unlike IHOP and Denny's where you likely wait to be seated and receive your food luke warm to cold many times.Hope this review was helpful to you!

I love waffle house breakfast and this one was no exception. The food was served fast and courteously the way I ordered it. I was there alone so the only place I could sit was at the counter. Would have preferred to sit in a small booth but they have those reserved for 2 or more even when they are slow.
