In the heart of Cappadocia, and probably in one of the most interesting natures of the world where cultures and civilizations are mingled, the Aâla Turca restaurant is established in 2003 in order to represent and showcase the anatolian food in the world
We sat on the terrace in the open air on a cool evening. Several people in our group were chilly so our waitress brought them a small blanket to drape over their shoulders. Our meal started with lentil soup and a finely diced salad. Neither were fantastic, but nothing objectionable. For our main course, we had grilled chicken with rice and some sautéed peppers and onions. The chicken was excellent, and the rice was also very good. I ordered a Bomonti beer along with my meal, and it was the coldest that I had during my visit to Turkey. For dessert, we had a small slice of Turkish vanilla ice cream sprinkled with pistachios that was a fine ending to a wonderful dinner.
