Reviews on Diner food in Lahnstein, Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany. Lahnstein (German pronunciation: [ˈlaːnʃtaɪn]) is a verband-free town of Rhein-Lahn-Kreis in Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany. It is situated at the confluence of the Lahn River with the Rhine, approximately 6 kilometres (3.7 mi) south of Koblenz. Lahnstein was created in 1969 by the merger of the previously independent towns of Oberlahnstein (or Upper Lahnstein) on the south side of the Lahn (above the river mouth) and Niederlahnstein on the north side (below the river mouth).

Sat down here at 8pm on a Saturday evening. It was quite busy. It was difficult to get attention, you had to chase a waitress rather than them coming to you.Ordered drinks, starter and main course. Drinks came fairly quickly. Starter arrived at 8.30pm. Then we sat until 9.30pm with no food. We were sat next to a group of 4. The 1st diner had finished his meal before the 4th diner had got their food. At 9.30 I asked where the food was and I was told 'We only have a small kitchen'. I don't class myself as a business genius but the obvious answer is have less tables. Waitresses seem to be coming out with just one plate at a time.At 9.40 after waiting 1 hour 10 minutes for my meal, I paid for my drinks and left.Wild horses wouldn't drag me back there.
