Things to do in Kreuzlingen
The restaurant is in a prime location to serve guests from the Kreuzlingen harbor. As it was still full at the end of the lunch time, we took a small table away from the terrace, right next to the lake. We had to ask the waitress to clean the table as the previous guests had left it messy. Service that day was somewhat slow. We ordered a salad plate and âegliâ fish filets. Both were very good but the fish cost CHF 45.00, which is really too much (but it didnât keep us from ordering itâ¦). Furthermore the prices on the lunch menu were not the ones on our bill (evidently the computer doesnât realize this) so we complained about this. The waitress was polite and reduced the total fee appropriately.
Pizza? looking for someone who can do the basics in a very tasty way, Mama mia / mamamia is a so called "no brainer" choice. Nice food, lovely host - and they deliver it nice and hot if you wish. Good pick if you don^t feel like cooking.

Hotel restaurant open to general public
This is a restaurant which also offers hotel rooms. I found the restaurant atmosphere quite charming, and reasonably priced.

We ate there with a a party of 4. Later that night myself and one other person out of our party got gastroenteritis and were sick with severe cramps, nausea and diarrhea. That meal was the only thing we both ate together all day, there was no other possible culprit. The illness lasted for days and forced me to postpone a planned vacation. I won't touch Indian food for the next 30 years, just the thought of it makes me sick now. Either the food at Sitara bad or the kitchen hygiene. Absolutely horrid. And we paid 25 Euros a plate for days of misery.

Probably the best currywurst at the lake, really thick fries and fresh salad. The sausage is extra long and was specially produced for us. The sauce has made 2-star chef Dirk Hoberg. Regional, cheap & delicious.
The place is small, but the service and food is very good. There are a couple of seats inside in the front window and two stands outside the main entrance for a few to place their food while eating. Since my last visit to Konstanz, they have now added a patio seating area on the side of the building with about eight tables.I had the currywurst with fries combo (6.20â¬) which comes with a choice of mayo or ketchup. For the price it is a great deal and the staff will even bring your food to the table if you dine on the patio. All that being said, the wurst is very good, but I could not rate it in the same category as an original Berlin currywurst.Good food along with nice, efficient and courteous service!

Restaurant is inside the Castle just overlooking the lake in Kreuzlingen. Service was attentive, wine list extensive. We were surprised to have a menu with English, we appreciated the detail of explanation. Choices include seasonal offerings or 3 and 5 course pre prixe. We shared a seasonal fresh mushroom ravioli entree for starter and it was complex, well designed flavors and artistic presentation (it would have been much too small a serving for a dinner). For Entrees, a local fish served lightly battered in a light froth of champagne sauce, fish was at just the right cook, very tender, and a dish of thinly sliced chicken in a very light cream sauce with risotto. We wished we could have taken dessert, they each sounded very good, but it was late and we were fatigued from a long day. Another time. Cost is what you should expect for quality of food and service.
