This is the sort of diner you come to when you are not in a hurry. Everybody knows everybody, and you can expect lots of chatting going on....coffee is good and fresh though. Breakfast prices are reasonable, where else can you get a freshly made egg and cheese on rye breakfast sandwich for just under $3. Hubby says home fries are excellent.

In the interest of full disclosure, if you are going to attend the Sunflower Festival at Buttonwood Farms in Griswold CT, , there are limited restaurants in the area, so going to the nearby town of Jewett City offers more options. We went to Dean's, ordered standard breakfast fare and everything was well prepared, plentiful and served quickly. The wait-staff were friendly and attentive. The pricing is very reasonable.

Quaint small restaurant! Very friendly and prompt staff.....refreshing for sure. Ordered the Big breakfast ll, which came with coffee, juice, home fries, 2 toast, 3 eggs, 2 bacon, 2 sausage patties or links and 2 French toast or pancakes go $10.99. All this was served to the table piping hot within 5 mins of ordering.....not sure how they do it that quickly, but hates off to the cooks! Will definitely be back to eat here when in the area. Thanks to all the âstaffâ for the smiling faces!
