We've been here a couple of times and it's always delicious. Last time we had breakfast here someone got the "short stack," which was two enormous pancakes that were too much to eat. Someone else got the hash special which looked so good that someone at another table literally said: I'll have what he's having, and pointed. Good service and great food.

My husband read about this place in Money magazine, where it was called one of the best hamburger places in the US. They were right. And it's not just the excellent home cooked food, but the total, fun package. First off, it's not where you'd expect a restaurant. It's off of Broad street in an industrial area. In fact it is the back part of one of the buildings there. But it's fixed up very cute, it's clean, and is a fun place to eat. They have daily specials, the day we were there it was chopped steak with gravy, real mashed potatoes and beans. We opted though for the hamburger since that's what the magazine said was so good. The burgers are big, a quarter pounder being the smallest. You choose what you want on it, cheese and bacon cost extra. One order of onion rings was plenty for us to share. Really good food, served fast. The place is small, around 8 tables I think. Our waiter was friendly and helpful. The owner stopped by our table to thank us for coming in. She told us the story of her starting up the place as well as how it's been since the magazine article. She really made us feel welcome, and I look forward to going back. Opening times can be restrictive. The serve breakfast (which I'm sure is good) starting at 7am. But they close early, 2pm, and are only open during the week.

At River City Diner, we are known for our Breakfast, Burgers, Shakes & Fries! If you are looking for quality American food in an all-American atmosphere, this is the place for you. We grind our burgers in-house every other day and our fries are fresh-cut.
This restaurant is attached to a hotel, two separate businesses. The hotel offers guest checks at the restaruant for a choice of 5 different breakfast selections. Breakfast selection so much better than having a continental breakfast at a hotel. We had one evening meal here. The food was plentiful and reasonably priced.Theresa, behind the counter with bench stools, is super friendly. She greets everyone by name, and if an unknown she uses "Sweetie" or "Darlin'". Felt like a diner "where evreyone knows your name."

For about 6 months I kept driving by the shopping area and smelly and smoky smell to and from work. My daughter and I decided to finally stop in and have dinner to try this BBQ. I was pleasantly surprised the restaurant is clean and well staffed with tables no clutter. Very bright dining area, wood tables and comfortable black chairs. The menu is the right size not a book to read. Being a rib person I had to try the ST. Louis ribs, since there are so many styles of them in different places. I had 2 sides the bbq beans and the red skinned potato salad. My daughter had the chicken tenders and fries. Our meal came out in 10 minutes My daughter stated her Chicken tenders were good not dry well breaded and had a good taste. She was given more fries than she can consume, plus a nice size drink. My ribs came, 6 bones, with 2 sides and cornbread piece. The Ribs were sauced, nice smell of smoke, meaty but a tad dry, some parts a bit chewy but good. The bbq beans had a different taste than other places I have tried a unique taste, they also needed a bit more sauce but good. The Potato salad was a mix of potatoes, red onion, Mayo, flavored with fresh dill and I belive egg? The chunks were quite big, and they really need to cut them in smaller pieces. The portions were big enough for 2 people. I had to take half of it home. The brought a carrier with different sauces. The original was good but the others may need to be remixed since they had strange tastes but over all ok. The meal I would rate about an 8 since they need to concentrate on not over cooking their foods. Maybe searching out new recipes. Our meal came to $21.50 plus tax and was about average based on other restaurants in the areaThank you (and your daughter) for coming in. We hope to have you back to try the other items on our menu. Perfect small spot for home cooking. They have something for everyone. They are only open for breakfast and lunch so they close at 2pm.I have had their Chicken and dumplings and also the chopped steak with onion gravy. Both are excellent.Fairly large portions.Super friendly staff. They do get rather busy for a small restaurant so dont get frustrated...it is worth the wait.

At Silver Diner, we're much more than a diner. Whether you choose a classic dish or a vegetarian, vegan, or gluten-free option, Executive Chef Ype Von Hengst has created a menu of customizable, healthier choices that all share one thing: the highest quali
Not quite a trip back in time for the ambiance, but they do a nice job of making you think you were back in the 1960's except for the food which is very modern. The chef takes pride I a menu that runs from standard fare to more farm to table friendly fare with healthy options. The service was quick and the food well prepared and portions more than adequate. And if you wait long enough you can get your turn at the juke box.
