Petes was recommended by an employee at the local antique shop.... we were not disappointed. They have different meats each day.... we had the grilled chicken and the fried chicken. Sooo tender and good. The grilled chicken fell off the bone and was seasoned perfectly. The fried chicken was sooo good! We had turnips, Mac and cheese, all perfect examples of good southern cooking. We didn't have room for dessert, but we were told by several patrons that we have to come back for dessert.

We ate here late, and the place was clean, and the service was quick and friendly. Everything we ordered came to us well prepared and looked good on the plate, and tasted good. The Menu was adequate, and we had the Chicken Pot Pie and the Chopped Sirloin Entrees. The portions did not leave you hungry, and we certainly would return to eat there again in the future.

The service was good and the food came out FAST (less than 5 minutes), fresh, and hot!Pimento burger and the American Philly cheese steak we're very good. The malt was short of excellent, but quite good. Good atmosphere.
