We popped in after a trip to the DMV. Our favorite server took care of us. While we waited for our food to arrive we noticed small differences (everyone was wearing the same shirts instead of just whatever, a cooler with glass bottle drinks, new menu items, and we didn't have to beg for straws we just got them) She told us there was a new owner and he was making some small changes. He happened to be there and was very nice. As always everything we had was fantastic. The new cook knew my two year old wanted her food before everyone else so he brought them to the table right away so we could cool them off so she could eat right away. He was also very nice.
Excellent small diner. Daily specials all home made. I had the fried chicken and my husband had the pork chops, along with a choice of sides and home made corn muffins. Everything was delicious and the ladies running the diner were super friendly. Highly recommend for good home made southern food.

We ate lunch at DD earlier this week as we enjoy the food, service and prices. Our only complaint is that we were put at a small table for two in the bar section right by a window (half of it is covered by a sign). Granted, it was a hot day, but that table's location was so hot we were both sweating- and moved near an air vent. Come on' guys. Your staff even told us the air was sub-standard in the bar area. If management knows the a/c is sub-par in that area, please fix it. When we come back, we WON'T sit in the bar area for obvious reasons. You know what to do, guys.Iâm sorry for your experience. We really donât know what to do. We have two air conditioning units and four fans in that section. A new metal roof was just installed last week over the entire building and believe it or not, it did help. That section has been a source of concern since the previous owners enclosed the porch to make it the bar area it is now. With the low ceiling, multiple windows with direct sunlight pouring in and poor insulation, about the only thing to be done it take it back to a porch. But on cloudy/cooler days, it makes a great place to sit with a view of the golf course so we hate to do away with it. We are constantly striving to cool that area but havenât figured out the best way yet. We will continue to come up with a solution and we look forward to your next visit when we will be sure to sit you in another section. Thank you for your feedback.

We were looking for a place to have a quick breakfast without any wait and stumbled upon the waffle house. The eggs were cooked well and the has brows were crispy and very tasty, pancakes were fluffy moist and full of flavor. Order was served hot and quickly. The wait staff was very good.
