If you're craving a nice, easy sumptuous breakfast with some fantastic biscuits, this is the place to go! The Golden Biscuit makes great pancakes, too, and eggs to order -- even poached and soft-boiled. The staff is down-home and so friendly. Not into biscuits? No problem. You can't go wrong with anything you order here. The prices are reasonable, too. It's kind of hard to find if you haven't been before, because it's a half-block north of Canal Street, on the back side of a bunch of other shops right on Canal. So use Google maps to help you find your way to this gem of a breakfast place: The Golden Biscuit!

PAPPAS Drive-In & FAMILY Restaurant is AMERICAN food done RIGHT! We got lucky searching for a place to get a quick bite by cross-referencing both BringFido.com and TripAdvisor. The sites confirmed what our tastebuds would soon find out. PAPPAS Friday Special was GROUPER. As in a GROUPER DINNER with two sides. Two nice pieces of fried GROUPER, with the coating so light it melted in our mouths. And the GROUPER was FRESH! YUM! Our side choices concurred on the SWEET POTATO fries and SLAW. Each element of our meal was the best we've had in a long time. SO GO OUT OF YOUR WAY to eat at PAPPAS DRIVE-IN & FAMILY RESTAURANT. We didn't eat outside because it was cool and we have a dog. CAR SERVICE was prompt and friendly. It's hard to imagine eating AMERICAN FOOD done so right for such a GREAT VALUE! Well done, PAPPAS! WELL DONE!

This restaurant is a treasure, The food is good and the price is right. We were there on Saturday night, which was Greek night. We love Greek Food. We had the Chicken Souvlaki dinner which came with a Greek salad or Lemon Chicken Soup (YUM) and scrumptious pieces of chicken over a bed of lemony rice. We all had enough to take home for another meal. We will be back!!

Best Hamburger in town, cooked to order and comes with Fries, coleslaw and a pickle spear. Coleslaw is Mayo based and sweet. If you haven't been to Ruthy's in the last year you will notice the change. Opened up counter seating next to the register, and the walls have been redone. Still with home type decorations, chickens and all.Waitress's are friendly and helpful and food comes out quickly for a sit down.

I've heard good things about C's but never went there until the other day. It's in the old K-Mart plaza on the mainland in NSB. Both interior and exterior are very basic, but that's OK. The service was efficient and friendly, the restaurant was clean, and the food was good. I like French Toast, so I ordered that, even though they are known for their waffles. It didn't take long to arrive, and was very good. Even though I ordered the basic French Toast, they have several options, with fruit, etc. I also had an orange juice, which was good. I didn't care for the orange juice at First Watch (reviewed Feb 2019), and it was much more expensive. I had (I think) 3 large pieces of toast, with butter, maple syrup and powdered sugar. Everything was tasty, and the price for everything was under $10. A lot cheaper than First Watch, and better, IMHO. They also have a good variety of sandwiches for lunch if you are not interested in breakfast.
