Stopped for breakfast after Easter Sunrise Service. The diner was not yet full yet the staff was overtaxed. They may have underestimated the impact of another local diner closing. That said the menu was extensive, the food was good and the price was reasonable. The servers were friendly even when hustling.

You ever had one of those days when you weren't looking to eat anything special. Your astute pallet just wasn't in operation and you were not looking for something astounding. You just wanted a meal. On a day like this I went to Crystal Diner and settled on a bacon-cheese burger and fries. Typical American fare, nothing special, but was I surprised. By the time the meal was over I was asking myself..."why do we Americans settle for fast food crap when we can have super tasty freshly prepared wholesome nutritious food that is not greasy for the same price as the giant slop-pens?"Crystal Diner...a neighborhood diner made me give local diners a second thought...we really ought to support them. I will be back for other meals there. Happy dining!!!ps. Nicole provided great friendly service...see her say hello.

We usually visit this restaurant three or more times a month. The breakfast is good everything else is ok. we stopped in for lunch. My wife ordered a happy waitress which is basically an upscale grilled cheese. When it arrived it wasn't even cooked. She returned it and made a comment to the owner and he really got nasty. Very uncalled for. We wont go back. There are tons of diners in northeast philadelphia.
