We had planned to eat an early dinner before heading to Frostburg for a concert but the sign for Curtis since 1918 lured us in from of walking tour of Cumberland's Baltimore Street. The place has an extensive menu but we sat at the counter and ordered a "famous weiner " each with a cola. Unusually delicious hotdog with brown mustard, a seasoned hamburger sauce, onions in a steamed bun. While eating a gentleman behind counter came to us and dropped some fries on our plate and urged us to try them saying he was sure we'd say they were the best we'd ever had. They were crisp & light. This man was the owner, Geno.Atmosphere is fun, small with a counter separated by a half wall where tables are. If the rest of the menu is any indication of the taste of the weiners then it must be good! We'll stop again if ever in the area.

Not sure what people are expecting when the pull into a roadside diner. Good, wholesome, filling, home-style food. Plain and simple. Where else can you find liver & onions on the same menu as shrimp? Both were great for a hungry customer. Dessert was a great finish to a great meal. Wait staff very pleasant, and food was well-priced. It's not a five-star restaurant, and doesn't claim to be. Lower your expectations and have yourself a good meal.

This restaurant has been around for as long as I can remember. But this was my first visit. It's not a chain style restaurant, and it is nothing fancy. The menu is not long and consists of mostly family style comfort foods. The staff was friendly and effective. The food was average.
