Classic 50 s diner featuring breakfast lunch and dinner . Featuring big burgers shakes and awesome sandwiches.
My husband and I ate @ Obie's Fillin' Station when we first arrived at St. Augustine Beach. OMG! The burger was Huge. We could have split it. It was also delicious. We did end up going back there for breakfast one morning & it was equally as delicious. Very cute decor!

Stopped on our way down to take care of some business before a day of leisure. Wonderful biscuits, homemade salmon sausage, eggs Benedict, pastrami omelette, corned beef hash. Wow! It was all great! Wished we lived here to enjoy all the time.

I am living up here as a travel nurse and love to go out to breakfast. This restaurant is off the beaten path. I went because of all of the good reviews. It was crowded and there is no parking. The breakfast was good but nothing to write home about in my opinion.

We met friends who were commuting through St. Augustine. It was a Monday. We suggested Conrads on US1, with Romanos as a backup, since it was a Mondayt. Well they were both closed, But nestled in between them, with little identification, was the Moultrie Diner. Wow. What a down home treat. Breakfast is served all day. I had fish and grits, which, without eggs, seems like lunch to me. No matter, it was yummy and served with the prettiest sliced tomatoes I have seen this year. Our server was wonderfully patient as we sat with friends and caught up several months' worth of news. We will definitely be back.

Soooooo let me tell you... while staying in St. Augustine for a few days during vacation we were getting ready for our first day out sightseeing and missed our hotelâs breakfast time, BUT while getting ready I watched the add for Metro Diner, and suggested it to the fam. We all agreed and off we went. Now hereâs where the âOMGnessâ comes in.... Iâm a picky eater, but not picky to the point of not eating anything. Iâm picky because I only want whatâs good for my body, and they had AVOCADO TOAST. I imagined it would be a few slices of avocado on their 8 grain toast, but NOOOOO!!! (See pics) Let me just say Iâm an avocado and/guac FREAK.... and my eggs were cooked perfectly.... that never happens at IHOP! My baby girl got her Belgian waffle, and it I was perfectly crispy on the outside and soft in the center, and the hubby went for the lunch and got a pastrami in rye. ALL SOOOOO GOOD!! To top it off, I used to work at a diner years ago for a man who ran a TIGHT SHIP, so when it comes to diners I can be super critical as far as service and presentation goes, but at this Metro Diner I have NO COMPLAINTS!!! Not ONE! Then day two of our short trip came around, and again (thankfully) we missed breakfast at the hotel, so back to Metro we went. I got the same thing, plus the best, creamy grits Iâve ever had. Baby girl got her waffle, and daddy got a philly steak and cheese this time. He said it was bomb. We left there full and easy for another exciting day!! I will certainly be a regular patron of our local Metro Diner back at home! I was so excited to learn they have 75 stores and 3 surrounding where I visit frequently at home!!
