We had a big group of us stop there for dinner on our way north. Almost everyone said the food was just so-so. The salad bar is unimpressive. I had the Vegetable Stir Fry. It was so drenched in teriyaki sauce that it was inedible. The vegetables were way overcooked and the rice was soaking in sauce. Another person in our group had the Chili Burger. He said the chili was dry and the meat overcooked. Some of the kids had the macaroni and cheese (Kraft's). Other meals also failed to satisfy. For dessert we gave the Bread Pudding a try and nobody liked it. After passing it around the table for tastes, it was left uneaten. Prices are ridiculously expensive for this glorified Shari's / Denny's. The Vegetable Stir Fry was $18.99!Servings are huge (of bad food), but the service was great. Our waitress did an excellent job of keeping our group orders and bills straight. And finally if you like a beer or a glass of wine with your meal, forget it. They don't serve alcohol.

My friend and I decided to stop in for some cheesecake and it was delicious! Our waiter was fantastic and got our food to us in a speedy manner.

It is obvious that walking into Judy's one can tell that the establishment is a local icon. A bit out of the way in in the industrial port area of Centralia Judy's has been serving patrons of the area for a long time. The restaurant has a home-town cafe feel to it with many regular customers visiting on the day we were there. We were greeted warmly and immediately and seated moments later in a window booth. Once we ordered I thought it took a bit longer than it should have for our food to order but it was the busy breakfast time of day. For our meal my wife had her standards eggs, bacon and pancakes and I went for the German Sausage and eggs. The food was good and there is plenty of it. The value of the meal was on par for a local diner of this type as the bill was pretty much what was expected. Even thought the restaurant is rated #1 in the area the food was not of such high quality to bring us back for a second visit. See you on the trail and please try to remember to treat with dignity and respect, all whom with you come in contact.John F

Service is usually friendly. Quality fast food that takes a while to prepare so be patient. Prime rib on Friday nights. Get there early! They cook up 3 big ones every Friday and start serving around 4:30. When its gone, its gone.House made desserts, mid-range prices, aging but still, comfortable booths and tables. Its family-owned and they really care about quality.Lots of regulars and a definite home town feel to this place.

I love this place, now let me tell you why. It is more than just a restaurant, it is like the 50's breakfast hub version of Cheers. Everyone seems to know each other by first name, and greets each other with a smile, even if you are not from the area, you are welcomed. The food, as other reviewers have mentioned is really satiating in that it is substantial in portion size, delicious, and comforting. They make their own potato chips as an optional side instead of fries, and their menu covers all of the usual breakfast and lunch American diner style foods. To add to this, they have daily specials which are a steal - generally a breakfast type item, and a more lunch style item. They have the bar seating which my teenagers love to sit at for the added ambiance, but it is not necessary since the whole place is saturated by it. We have been going here for two years now, making the trip from Yelm because the place is special. We love the owner Marion, and her son, George who greet us warmly every time we visit, as they have from the first day.
