Here's a typical old-style diner, right on the main drag, affording a friendly atmosphere, good good, and excellent service. Go for breakfast, lunch or dinner and enjoy large servings, well prepared, hot and tasty. A family owned and run business for 30 plus years, there's a reason they're still around. The locals love it and the visitors have a pleasant surprise awaiting. You'll be seated just as in the old diners, and served from behind the counter - quick and easy. It's a piece of nostalgia and a treat to the pallet. I give them an A+ rating and highly recommend it.

Ice cream parlor chairs. Checkered linoleum. Ceiling has huge ads like a church bulletin. This place is all about the customer. Easy welcoming waitress. Cook delivered my steaming short stack to my table. Banter is all about making sure everyone is ok. I have sto say I donât really like pancakes but these were absolutely awesome.

A family friend was married and had the reception at The Pear Tree Estate on the Fourth of July. The venue is absolutely beautiful, clean, and spacious. The Wedding was held indoors. While they set up for dinner, there was a cocktail hour, outside. The back patio face the countryside, and was extremely peaceful. The appetizers were unique and tasty. Dinner was served family style with a salad, smoked pork, macaroni and cheese, and grilled vegetables. For it being a holiday, the staff was friendly and very attentive. I wished we lived closer to Champaign because I would definitely hold some of our family events there.

There are 3 Merry Ann Diners in town. This is the second one we visited. Thought the campus location was a disappointment but this location assumes the title. The meal is cooked to order and served quickly. For some unknown reason the toast is stacked on the same plate. The food was good for a diner. But the location is no doubt the winner of the dirty to extreme award. The floor was sweep and then stacked in front of the check out.! The bathroom is terrible. Dirty, trash on the floor, no supplies and no attention. The server was average and the overall experience disappointing. The S Neil location is on the list to visit.
