Things to do in Chambly
This place has a great atmosphere with friendly service. Feels like home. The chicken avocado panini was topped off with home made potato chips still hot served with a spicy mayonnaise. Delicious. Will be going back. I highly recommend this place. Will try the nachos and cold beer next. They have a great choice of coffees, teas and drinks and even have lactose free milk for people with lactose allergies. Fresh desserts also. It will be hard to make a choice.

My friends and I tried Markina for dessert, and everything we had was beyond our expectations. I strongly recommend ordering a hot chocolate. You put yourself a chocolate sphere in some milk, and the chocolate will melt to combine with the milk! Yummy! I also had a Raspberry Square (like a Date Square but with raspberries in it) and I loved it!

Waiters dressed in black aprons, many pictures of past staff that remind you of "The Shining". Instead of redrum, L Express' red wine and food are fine classics. Johnny would give his thumbs up. Book ahead as this place is on many recommended lists.

Wanted to try a new chain on route to Ontario. Eggsquis is conveniently located near the highway in a small plaza with lots of parking. The vibe was diner like - spacious, bright with lots of windows and lacking in atmosphere. Set up of tables and chairs reminded me of a dining hall. Service was quick and efficient but where this place really shines is in the menu - there are SO many choices, it's hard to decide. Obviously they specialize in egg dishes- the typical ones with ham, bacon, sausage, baked beans or omelets of all kinds and even 4 kinds of eggs Benedict. They also have crepes, brioche, yoghurts and casseroles as well as fruit plates, sandwiches and salads. There is also a lunch special on a chalk board - this day, it was a ginger chicken stir fry which looked quite good. We finally decided on Eggs Florentine and their Croque- Monsieur( Club Sandwich). I have to say the portions are GI-NORMOUS!! And come with a full carafe of coffee which is left on the table. My perfectly poached eggs atop a rather bland bed of spinach were swimming in Hollandaise and accompanied by fruit,2 sausage and a pile of sliced fried potatoes with way too much salt. The sandwich came open face on a large bun with ham,Swiss cheese, fried egg( omelet style) and tomato and was served with a very nice Caesar salad and salty fried potato slices. The servings are generous, the food pretty good and the prices reasonable . I see the chain is expanding into Ontario and will compete with Cora's where the prices are more!

Boulangerie artisanale avec un café et une boutique épicurienne. Spécialité de viennoiseries, charcuteries et de desserts maison.
Had a schokoladine almonde (pain au choolat with almonds, flatter than just a plain pain au chocolat) and it was stuffed with a custard-like cream to boot. I'd get it every day if I lived in Chambly, though I'd then need to do a lot of biking on the Route Verte and Route des Champs to make up for it.We sat on the front terrace rather than inside.
