Very tiny, which we expected. So you will be seated very close to other parties as the owners understandably try to squeeze as many tables as possible in the diner. Service was good, even though they were very busy. No biscuits and gravy on the menu and my husband was disappointed when he saw it was posted as a special on the wall after he started eating his bacon and eggs. I ordered the chili con carne omelette, assuming that it would be chili con carne and not chili con frijoles. It had a good flavor, but kidney beans on a breakfast omelette were a bummer. I did my best to pick them off, but it was loaded with them. Breakfast potatoes were without flavor. Usually hike in the wall diners like this are great, so we were disappointed.

My son and I were staying at the hotel were the Black Bear Diner was situated. Our waitress, Lilian was very pleasant and we sat in a booth. Lots on the menu to choose from and I had the eggs and sausage patties. My son had the eggs and thick bacon. He had the hash browns and I had the home fries. Unfortunately both of the potato sides were burnt! The home fries were more so than the hash. The waitress knew the potatoes were like this and she apologized but in our opinion they should have not been put on our plates. Thankfully the rest of the meals were good. By the way there was a picture of a black bear promoting BC apples and BC is where we live!

For more than 65 years Denny's has been bringing people together over great food. It's the place where people can relax and be themselves; where they can enjoy classic American comfort food and everyday value. 24 hours a day. 365 days a year. Here, you ca
There were 4 of us on the way to Lake Tahoe and stopped in for breakfast. It was not very crowded. We were seated promptly and served quickly, as well. I had the 55+ scrambled eggs and cheddar with turkey bacon. All was good except the eggs. I did not care for the cheddar...maybe there was just too much of it. The pancakes were great! Everyone else enjoyed their meals. We all enjoyed looking at the pictures of the original town back in the day!

Had not been in a Johnny Rockets since Newark Airport some years ago. This place was great. Spotlessly clean and in first class condition. My wife had the original burger and I had the mushroom and Swiss cheese. Two Strawberry shakes and lots of retro songs on the juke box and we were set on a rainy/ snowy afternoon. What fun. Will definitely be back.. The food quality, service, atmosphere were first class. For my money better value and more enjoyable than the Cactus Creek Steakhouse that I have also reviewed
The cafe is inside Cactus Jack's Casino and also is known as Mustang Sallie's. It is mainly counter service but they have a few tables. Great variety for breakfast and lunch. Theresa is the cook and does a fine job whipping up good comfort food. A local favorite, low prices, generous portions and satisfying meals. I like the breakfast burrito (choice of bacon, sausage or ham with cheese), country fries and the Ortega chili with bacon and cheese omelette. Wide range of sandwiches and burgers for lunch. Something for everyone's palette. Friendly and efficient service too. Easy parking on the street and in nearby parking lots.
