Whether it's breakfast, lunch with friends or dinner with family we are always treated like family here at Olympic. The owner Noah is usually walking around greeting or seating customers on a daily basis. He is always interested in our opinions on how to make things better or our visit more comfortable. Menu is diverse and "health friendly." Absolutly LOVE the "Strawberry Salad with Chicken and Raspberry Dressing." Everything is fresh and servings are generous. Great place to bring your family or out-of-town guests. There is something for everyone on this menu!

The sign outside this restaurant clearly says : Mel's Diner. The receipt we got clearly reads : Tom's Coney Burton. A recent change in ownership? Who knows? Does The Shadow Know? No matter the above small details, we three greatly enjoyed Mel's Diner / Tom's Coney Burton. We came here after Sunday Church Services and we wanted to relax and visit and not be pushed to order and rushed out the door. EXCELLENT. Our server was wonderful. Calm and collected and professional. We also enjoyed our food. I love tuna salad sandwiches and got what I wanted, a great tuna salad sandwich. My friends ordered larger meals and they too were happy with them. The venue was clean and we were very pleased with our visit.

I think if someone is looking for the greatness in America in these times of promises and everything having to be huuuuge and treeeemendous. They should stop for Breakfast in Flint Mi at the Krystal Jo Diner. Its not found in a line of franchise places, or a truckstop,. No, its in the heart of a neighbour hood that is a little ragged and the worse for wear. you may even reconsider your choice as you look from the outside but then you see the signs with a sense of humour, and the fact that there are people in there on presidents day. YEs it may seem a little ragged too, iTs a diner that still has its original linoleum, with famous car doors on the wall made by the owner from salvaged car doors that have been repainted. There are the round stools and the guy working over the grill. This is no nostalgia place but like i have only seen in the US, a real diner, where folks could expect a reasonably priced meal, the coffee is strong but not espresso and everything is made before your eyes and your conversation happens with the back of a hardworking grill chef. You know you are in good hands when you see him grating the cooked potatoes in front of you and the bacon goes on in an ordered line. the ham is real, not ham flavoured slices, the bread is thick and fried not toasted and the menu has many variations on the breakfast and burger theme and unlike so many of the âreal American Foodâ that is promised, this is the real mccoy. The guys working there are funny irreverent and proud of what they re doing, and rightly so. It is the best breakfast i have had in a long while. The home fries are real( see the grating the cooked potato above) There are hot sauces, as individual as this place, the steak skillet lives up to it with real cheese and done to perfection. The five of us had five different plates, five different tastes but everyone got happier with every bite. And the price was reasonable. This is a place that decided that despite the troubles and closed-up businesses around them they were going to still keep making a great breakfast, at a reasonable price for any and all that cross the threshold. That kind of spirit is the spirit I have always loved about the USA. Itâs defiant, itâs hardworking, itâs got a sense of community, itâs about giving value and something that can make you proud. If I were president, I would be down there on my day waving my flag and hoping that their spirit spreads to every community from coast to coast to coast. Those people are out there in their communities, quirky, hardworking, giving back by having benefits to give bicycles to kids in Flint, or the equivalent. Do yourself a favour and go out of your way for the Krystal Jo Diner in Flint MI.

Fresh, made to order, non-commercial foods are served efficiently and by a friendly staff. Half meals are filling and the soups are hot, hearty, and homemade. We keep going back for quality, value, speed, service, and a wide menu that can meet the needs of almost anyone. Desserts are terrific. As we continue to take friends, the consensus is this place is a gem, well priced & portioned, and worthy of continued patronage. We've never had a bad or even mediocre experience here.

This is the You can't go Wrong Restaurant! After many visits its proven to be consistent with great service and outstanding value! While not cheap, or fancy; the variety of menu choices should please all tastes. The wait staff is courteous, engaging, and most of all prompt and efficient! The Ham and Corned beef are top quality! If you haven't been to this restaurant yet, Get going! You're missing out on a great experience!

Starlite Burger and Coney Island isn't your average diner. Our original location opened its doors in 1966. We've been serving unbeatable burgers, coneys and breakfast food combos to our Flint area neighbors ever since. Now with our second location coming
What have they done to the old coney island? They taste like they bought the meat sause from GFS and the onions were bitter not sweet. The only good thing was the Koegel dog but how can anybody screw up something so basic as a Flint coney?
