Nice family diner on Hempstead turnpike, parking area. We had the French toast which was good, also 2 eggs with potatoes and toast, which was good. Also we had orange juice and tomato juice, with coffee, we enjoyed our breakfast. Not a bad price 20 dollars with tip. Good service also.

Took the family here for dinner understanding that itâs a diner and not the Le Cirque. But I was expecting friendly staff and not seemingly annoyed staff that we were there. Yes, itâs a diner and have to keep that in mind. I could have tolerated the staff if the food was at least above average, which is wasnât. The Sliced Steak sandwich was over cooked and chewy, and my wifeâs omelette was also over cooked.

I visited here earlier today with my sister, brother-in-law, and two nieces. We did not enjoy the food or the service. My sister and I both ordered wraps which were bland and soggy. The lemon chicken soup had barely any noodles or chicken. The chicken consommé was just not good. The kid's meals were very pricey and not really kid friendly. My nieces had the grilled cheese and Mac and cheese but they weren't done kid style (hard to explain- basically they needed to be simpler). It was $8.50 for each kid's meal. Our server seemed annoyed at our presence generally particularly when we were asking questions about the menu. Some of the items we ordered never arrived. Also, the bathrooms smelled horrible. We will not be returning and do not recommend this place.

Stopped here for breakfast on our way back to DC area. You get that great, real diner vibe right in the parking lot. Vintage building style, vintage decor. Big glass cases of pastries and cookies at the front entrance. Wait staff is friendly, a little cheeky, and very fun. Food is good, basic cooking. A surprise was the small glass of juice (you choose flavor) included with the breakfast selections. Another nice surprise was a plate of small muffins with butter offered gratis. Think this is a Saturday special. I had a poached egg with bacon and english muffin. Hubby had the western omelet with sausage. This comes with a pile of home fries and toast. You can tell this place is popular with locals. There's a relaxed easy feel to it. We enjoyed our hot breakfasts very much. Since we were from out of town, I asked Siri for the nearest McDonalds, figuring there would be one nearby. On our way to McDonalds, we saw this diner and detoured. Nothing against McDonalds, but glad we did! We would stop in here again.
Fresh new spot on Main. This morning I enjoyed a delicious breakfast at Whiskey Down. This place is a gem. CLEAN. Outdoor seating, excellent lunch options, gluten free and vegetarian dishes. Lunch menu and late night menu diner but feels like a bright charming cafe. D was our server, she is excellent. So excited about this great little. Little wait but it went quickly and you can always be seated at the counter. D makes an amazing Egg Cream
