We stumbled across Castello whilst exploring the town of Bansko... Slightly off the beaten track, Castello sits off of the âmainâ strip, (follow the road to Flash club). Set back down a cobbled street, the âcastle-esqueâ building is very impressive. You enter through double glass doors and feel as if you are some Greek castle, with chandeliers and wood everywhere. We were greeted by a very friendly waiter, who provided us with exceptional service all evening. The food was sensational, in particular; the tuna tartar, king prawns, octopus and calamari. The fish is imported from Greece, along with a selection of the wines and the meat - everything is very fresh! After our first meal, we booked to go back for our last evening of our holiday and were not disappointed! We will be back.

The Obetsanova Mehana is located right in the center of Bansko, close to the cultural and historical monument of The Saint Trinity Church. Surrounded by carefully selected antique objects together with your family or friends, you will enjoy one unforgetta
Beautifully decorated with lots of old Bulgarian rustic details. Extremely cozy!!!! The staff all spoke English and our server Preslav was very accommodating. But the highlight was definitely the 5 hour slow cooked lamb with potatoes and grilled veg. The best lamb Iâve ever had. We had 2 beers and a glass of raiki afterwards, just to finish our authentic experience. I just canât wait to go back.

Definitely not somewhere we would have stumbled across by ourselves; google seems to suggest this is a fast food restaurant and not many reviews. But luckily our ski instructor gave the recommendation. The food was great local cuisine and the woman who served us was very friendly. Food and drinks for the 4 of us came to 87 lev, fantastic find!
