We went into this little subway because it was close to our hotel. We were picking up subs in the morning to have on our trip to the zoo. There was only one employee and she was quite slow. It took about 20 minutes to get our five 6" subs to go. I wouldn't say to avoid it. The subs were fine.

McAlister's deli is an outstanding restaurant that serves great subs and vegetarian options. When I walked in it looked like a restaurant like Panera where you go pick up your food and sit down wherever you want, but what you do is go up to the counter and order, then a waiter takes you to your seat. They have the best service ever. If you need a refill on a drink you just put a notice card on your table. They also bring your food quickly. On their menu, they have sandwiches, salads, baked potatoes, paninis, and soups. I got some lemonade and that was fantastic. I ordered the nachos for my appetizer (they also have vegetarian nachos), they were the best nachos I have ever tasted! For my entree, I ordered the roast beef sandwich it had a dash of mustard on it which made it absolutely amazing! If you ever need a quick bite to eat this is a very tasty option.

This particular location was close to work and so I decided to get my lunch at this place. The first thing I noticed was all the smiles from the front counter staff. The lady who took my order was very personable and so very polite. I ordered the chicken fontega sandwich which is a favorite of mine. It took a few minutes but the manager who gave me my order also gave me a big smile. I was only in Powell for a few minutes but the people left me with a big impression.

The staff here is always helpful and friendly. They always ask for the various components and if you want your sub grilled. I get wraps and subs often. The cookies are special. Oh, I just thought of a complaint -- my wife once ordered me an egg white breakfast wrap. I hated it....give me my yolk!

had a grilled steakum sub. quality was average. Have had cold meat sub before and it was better. they also have good salads. Little put off by being pushed to give a tip for a buff type restaurant
